Hmmmmm

62% of Georgetown's minutes were played this year by freshmen and sophomores. Second time in five years Hoyas have no seniors.

Interesting. Next year our challenge is going to be tough. Hard to envision us finishing above GT, Nova, Marquette and Butler. I also feel SH will be better and Xavier tough. Providence, especially if they get Ledo, could certainly beat us on a given night. It would not shock me if we are a middle of the pack team. Hopefully, we fare better, but certainly not a lock.

Georgetown plays suffocating D and they board. With Lavin, that's optional.

A lot will depend on what everyone returns from this, and on what they add.

Aptly said by college coach;

“@CoachBobWalsh: Coach-who-lost: We get it. You have a lot of young guys. Team is very young. Full of youth and youngness. Other team was college kids too.”

One might think that's directed at lavin.

Not to beat a dead horse, but considering the huge minutes Greene, DLo, Garrett and Pointer played last season, should they still be viewed as "young"? Just saying.

I have heard Lav say we have the youngest team in school history one too many times. Garrett, Dom, Greene all played major minutes last season

Its pretty amazing that the "youngest team in school history/America/in the history of organized basketball" will actually be pretty old next year.

Sanchez, GG, Marco = Seniors (and not the conventional 4 year type, all older in age)
D'lo, Phil, Dom, Amir, Branch = Juniors (with 2 years of starting experience for most)
Jakarr, Obekpa, Felix, Jones, Hooper = Sophomores

We will have one of the most experienced teams in the country next season.

You know what happens two years from now right?  We're young again.

I count 13 guys...what's the best guess 8 actually are on the roster next season?

Not really......Obekpa, Felix, Jones, and Hooper will be seniors. Until Chris develops a 15 foot jump shot, can rebound, and defend his own man at the 4 position.....I believe he is a four year player. When that class leaves, then next year's class will then be Juniors. Not expecting to hear anymore "we're a young team" going forward.

Chris improved greatly over the year IMO.  I think he's 3-4 yr player.

As for the rest none get me excited at all.

I guess in your opinion. I don't think we will be. We should have at least 3 upperclassmen, and we already know Lavin isn't shy about recruiting JUCO's or transfers.

We can address this again before next season starts.  Lets see who makes it back.

As of right now we are ticketed to likely lose 4 ships next year (Sanchez, Gift, Marco and all signs point to Karr).  We know the other variables exist (Dee, Amir, etc).  My point is we haven't evened out classes much.

I still think Jones has a huge upside.

Moose,  did you expect classes to be evened out at this juncture?

Only last year we had 8 newcomers.  Can't happen overnight.

+1.  His potential as an upper class-men is huge.
