BRANCH back into the game. Johnnies up 72-71 when Obekpa finds a cutting Dee, now a 74-71 lead! #SJUBB

Do you know who the starting 5 were today?

I think based on tweets- G Branch, G Harrison, F Pointer, F Sampson, F Sanchez.

I have an eery feeling we're gonna be very explosive this year. Type of team that can put up big points quickly.

Boy oh boy does this sound good. Love this team's fight.

Indeed, either that or his brother is doing the tweets

Primo with the steal and dump to Obekpa. The 39 pct free throw shooter is fouled, MAKES THEM BOTH to give #SJUBB an 83-78 lead with 21 secs.

I think Hooper just hit two more 3's.

Hope this kid is as good as advertised.  I'm not expecting him or Bourgault to log huge minutes, but we need to have somebody off the bench that can keep a zone defense honest.

Well the person tweeting isn't lying about his stats.  Seems to be going to the hole as well as making outside shots.  He and Rysheed can be quite a pair if Branch's game is improved that much.

A block from the Big Feller and it's over, 83-78. FWIW #SJUBB gets its first Euro Tour win over a team that topped Bama last week.

Obekpa hitting two clutch free throws is a very very good sign.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

83 points is an even better sign, we did that only twice last year. Manufacturing points was so difficult last year, feels good that we did it against seemingly pretty good competition.

I was joking, he obviously is playing very well.

Good signs abound here.  First off, it's great to get our team on the court for early season team basketball. Several games against pretty seasoned Euro teams who play team ball actively will help us leaps and bounds.

While the win doesn't matter, it's still nice that we showed ability to make shots, put up points and the resiliency to win.  Getting rust off now is great for the team.

Branch is a former top 50 recruit himself. Wonder how this backcourt is going to shakeout. For all we know rysheed could very well be our best player. 6'4 athletic points is what the next level is all about.

Branch with 22 points today won MvP.  Hope we get the whole box score.

I know, which lead me to pose the question. Many of us had branch backing up rysheed. Could we see a 3 guard lineup to start? Rysheed off of the bench?

Nice job Moose. Good  win against decent competition! That dump down Moose Referenced from Sanchez  for a score is an example of his value. Good passer!
