Didn't realize Xavier told him to take a hike supposedly during the summer after verballing.  Might he want to stick to them?

He certainly fits the mold of forwards that Lavin likes here.

Playing at Yates, we know he HAS to be able to run and gun.  I'd rather not see "ball handling" a weakness.   We want guys who can handle the ball in transition.  Turnovers need to be kept at a minimum if the up tempo pace is maintained moving forward.

From what I've read, I don't know the was really the case.  That's what some of their fans seem to think, but we all know how that goes. 

We are not on his final list. Not rationalizing, but I just don't see this as a big loss. No need for another slasher, who needs to add strength & improve shooting. Been there, done that.

I don't disagree.  I think Lavin was on the right track with that kid Max Hoetzel who chose Indiana.   I'd like to see us land a heady and offensively capable PF type.  More kids that know the game and with shooting ability.
