Fordham Game - Player of the Game
« on: December 07, 2013, 04:26:25 PM »
What a game!   We shared the ball so well that it's hard to find a player of the game, but my vote goes to Orlando.   This was his coming out party.
I'm a big fan of efficiency and he displayed that tonight.

I gave it to Orlando but Rysheed also deserves kudos for his play. All around a great team effort on both ends of the floor.

Voted for Dom. A board short of a triple double in 27 minutes. Gongrats to Orlando.

I gave it to Dom.  Sanchez was great too, but Dom did pretty much everything on the floor today.

I could see people giving it to Dom, but I'm going Sanchez.  This was the first game he was properly used and he really did look like an NBA level player.

I voted for Dom.

Like JR and 4redmen respectively said, he was one board shy of a triple double, and had 11 dimes.

Couple those silly stats with him beating Orlando in every statistical category except points, and I couldn't honestly say Dom doesn't deserve the recognition.

With that said, Orlando played an amazing game, and I have no issues with anyone thinking he was MVP. He played like one.

Side note: I was very happy to watch Sheed grow tonight.  Awesome game from him.

Wonder if the Big O's breakout game had anything to do with his seemingly decreased playing time of late. he really came out looking to assert himself today and he played a great game. Hope he keeps it up as he can really be a difference maker for us. Dom also unbelievable today!

As for the game itself I vote Sanchez

Dom was most impressive overall but Sanchez got it cooking early and delivered knockout blow early. He came into the game, rebounded, ran the floor, knocked down J's and threw oops.

Also Sampson knocked down his first 6 jumpers. Also was big early on.

Need Sampson to knock down that free throw line jumper next week against that Cuse zone like he did today

Dom had 11 assists?  Wow.  Tons of assists for everybody.  Could be tied with Primo and Dom.  I voted Dom because of double digit assists which is tremendous.

I give Dom and Sanchez a tie. What was so amazing is we had 6 players w  great stats. Sheed looked more confident. Branch only played 15 min, but looked excellent.

Branch has looked faster and more aggressive.  I like the new Jamal.  Hope he's here to stay.  He's penetrating, dishing and taking open jumpers.  He had two no-look passes that were incredible yesterday.

he looked more confident, he can definitely dish the rock.  Also, in warm-ups looked to be having fun and joking with D'Lo
