If you were the coach of this team who is the one guy you'd want to see in there a bit more? Maybe run some sets his way?

Sheed. He has been unreal the last 2 games and has been playing more as of late. If he can start knocking down jumpers like I know he can he could carry us a long way.

We play a lot of guy already, but I'll bite.  I think both Gift and Bourgault are serviceable players  and don't hurt us when on the court.  Both are productive. Bourgault especially.  He seems a ton smoother and less nervous last year.  His timing with his jumpshot and off screens looks wholeheartedly better.  IMO, for us this season, Bourgault seems to me much more ready in our offense than Hooper is when we need a shooter.  Bourgault can also handle the ball and pass pretty well.  I wont go as far as to say he nor gift should be a first tier guy in our rotation, but let's face it.  There are times when we need a shot and Bourgault is going to help us more than Sir' Dom there.  I still also stand by Gift as being a solid guy who should get minutes to spell our frontcourt.

Bourgault is 4-5 from three this year and has shown he can hit some free throws. No reason they shouldn't at least try to get him more time on the floor.

Bourgault should get all of Hooper's minutes. Hooper needs to get stronger. I believe Hooper will contribute more as an upper classmen.

I agree that Marco should get Max's minutes for now but I don't think Max will ever be a guy consistently gets more than 10 minutes per game against good teams. He's just not athletic enough for the big east

Gift. He's only played 12 minutes in our 3 losses combined.

He's not a great player by any means, but I think he could of helped us in a small stretch vs. Cuse near the end of the first half when their bigs were killing us down low.

He's physical and a pretty decent rebounder. I think he'll need to play a role when Obekpa inevitably faces foul trouble in BE games.

I have been critical of him but Lavin is doing a good job mixing minutes.  Everyone said going into the year that this year would be a big task trying to get everyone on the same page and divvy up minutes.  Each game there will be someone who get more and someone who gets the shaft.  All depends on the opponent.

Branch. When sheed isn't on the floor, Jamal needs to be running the point.  I'd also like to see him play alongside Jordan for a stretch or two

I would say Branch if Jordan isn't like you said but Branch last night if particular was a bit too out of control.  Shocked to only see 1 turnover but seemed like more.  He did rush one shot with like 30 on the shot clock that had me ill.

What is this running the point of which you speak? Is that a basketball term?

I'd give Branch fewer minutes, but he's already at 13 so it's barely possible. Fewer minutes for Greene. More minutes for Jordan, a couple more for Obekpa. MABS is shooting .800 percent from three, so give him all the white boy minutes until he cools off.

The last 3 games we have played much better so I am not going to complain. It would be my preference to go with a consistent 9 man rotation though.
I would like to see the following lineup more often:
Obepka, Sanchez, Sampson, Harrison, Jordan
or
Obepka or Sanchez, Sampson, Pointer, Harrison, Jordan
Those 6 guys are clearly our best 6 players and the combination of 5 of them hardly ever play together at same time?
My 7th man would be Greene, 8th man Gods Gift who should get time. Ideally I would only play those 8
If I was going to play a 9th as a spot player it would be Bourgault who is clearly the far superior white guy.
Branch and Hooper would not be in my rotation.

Why should marco or hooper play more? I think they should never play.
Gift is better then I thought. He is servicable. Would keep him in the rotation. Play him only a few minutes a game, but we may need him in case of foul trouble or injurys,
Branch- I think he should play more, with d-lo and jordan

Why would you say Hooper and not Bourgault. We obviously more scoring / better shooting. Hooper still has that deer in the headlights look. Marco looks more confident.

I would play Branch more.  Last night wasn't a great game for him, but he's shown that he can penetrate and get other guys open looks.

I think Lavin is doing a good job of keeping everybody happy, but I think the Marco/hooper debate is kindve pointless because the rotation he used in the Syracuse games will become the nor,m starting with the Xavier game.    Lot of DNPs coming up for Hooper Marco and Gift.

Two weeks ago, I said Rysheed wasn't ready to run the team and Branch should be given more minutes. Now, Rysheed is showing development and getting more minutes. The staff has handled him well.  Either they know what they are doing, or they've listened to my invaluable advice.     :coolsmiley:
