I am optimistic about this team. I see improvement in many aspects of the game, and I think Lavin is figuring out what works. One concern is our foul shooting has worsened and that is one area where we cannot afford to be productive.

It took me awhile to start posting on a regular basis. 1. I do like to read other opinions. 2. I am not an expert in strategy, players, coaching, etc...and I was nervous making comments on the board. After watching the games and reading the boards, I had confidence in posting more often. I also give credit to the regular posters for not being snobs and mocking posters who are not "experts" in all things college basketball.

As always there can be annoying posts, posters (occasionally)  and arguments (I am defiantly guilty of this...go Redmen...), but this is a site that I check as often as the news and it is something that I have really enjoyed over the last few years I do not belong to any other boards and I hardly use FB).

Hopefully the the has turned a corner and we start winning more often which will bring more fans to the team and the site, because both deserve support for their outstanding work! Great job Dave! We are!!! St. John's!

I randomly heard about JJ from the Daily news, when  the DN mentioned  that JJ broke the news about the argument that DJ Kennedy had after a game with a fan.
So you felt unsure of your opinions and were hesitant to post but after reading the posts on this sight you felt confident enough to start posting. Glad we could all help!  ;D  :)
The saying goes "it is better to remain silent and let people think your a fool, rather then to open your mouth and remove all doubt".

Hahaha really I did not post because I had no ideal what I would be talking about. It took the educated posters to teach me, and help me understand SJU BB. Now I contribute relevant information up to 38% of the time. For 2014 I'm going for 45% relevant and useful posting. A bit ambitious but I'm an optimist!

I do a lot of lurking, although I have never thought about it that way. I just like to read the comments from the St. John's fans who actually see the team play on a regular basis. I live upstate, and just have basic cable (20+ channels), so I don't get to see them all that much on TV. Some of us learn more about the team, by reading the comments of others. Part of my daily ritual is to stop at this site, Redmen. com, the St. John's basketball site, and the NCAA basketball section on CBS sportsline.
