Lavin's Contract

How many years are left on it? If there is just one more after this year you would think they'd have to make a decision at the end of the year and either give him an extension or fire him.

Tough get. The guy turned down UCLA.

I'm thinking Gregg Marshall or Danny Hurley. Hurley might be best, he could allow us to hold on to Brisco and Diallo and other NY area guys.

What about Orlando Antigua?    At some point someone's going to give him a head coaching job.   Why not us?
He's a NY guy who the players could relate to.   And he's tutored under some good coaches.

Unless he voluntarily steps down, Lavin isn't going anywhere.  Best we can hope for is he finds a better X's and O's coach in the offseason.

We should thank Lavin for giving opposing coaches ammunition against him.  I'm sure top recruits are going to love hearing how he started Ndiaye and Balamou against Georgetown.

Serious question, some of you guys are a lot closer to the HS and AAU scene then I am... what about Orlando A ?
It would seem to me every recruit/AAU coach in America knows who he is, or at least wants to know him.   
He's young, from NY, has some head coaching experience with the DR team.   

I think Maisello and Hurley are great options, but why not Orlando too?

There are some who probably would say as a Cal asst he would never come here.
I'd prefer a guy with HC experience.

You pretty much have to decide whether to extend after this year if you expect him to recruit 2015 class.
