I know there is all sorts of conspiracy theories with Jordan, but something seems to be going on with Lavin and Obepka as well. No?

Sampson too?

Duke might as well move to the A10.

Marco,

I was one of the posters who was upset at the previous Jordan thread, but I gotta say, you foreshadowed much in that thread, and majority has come to fruition. I no longer view these suspect starts for what Lavin says. I have absolutely zero inside info, but would say that Lavin's starting 5 these days is like a teachers pet line. The guys Lavin likes, and the guys who really want to be here get the nod. Anyone he has a problem with, disagrees with, or had some issue, will not be starting. Jordan, Sampson and Obekpa all don't seem to be having the best time. They happen to be all of our top level players with draft potential.

This is not good.

Lavin has spent too much time reading philosophy. He is over thinking/over analyzing these kid's actions and the team is paying the consequences. We need Dunlap here in the worst way so Lav can just recruit and Dunlap can coach.

Although I can't make out to what Baldi is saying, I can say that my real job is to try to read between the lines and I can say that something doesn't add up between the suspension, the sick mother, not starting, and the whole "protection" from the media. Who is Lavin protecting? Jordan or the program?

I got why there were red flags the first time that Felix played/started, with Jordan's absence.  But if Jordan is here, why would Felix start over him?  If the kid is going to leave, so be it.  But if he is here, he should play all the time.  I don't get it.
Maybe it has something to do with having Jordon around for the stretch. He fouls a lot. Is there stuff out there that any of the stuff going on has to do with team rules? Have any members of the team voiced displeasure?

Jordan didn't start the Xavier game because he was late to practice.   Had nothing to do with fouls.
Why didn't he start today?  I don't know, and I haven't heard anyone else say why.   But you can draw a reasonable inference that something similar happened again..
I don't want to speak for him, but I think that's the point Baldi is making.    He and a lot of people heard why RJ didn't start against Xavier and now he's just adding 1 + 1 and getting 2.

I think that many of you are missing Baldis point, that being that coach keeps feeding the fans, media etc. a lot of un-factual nonsense.  Just look at last years debacles.

The redshirting of Gods Gift cause he had an abundance of front court players like Mr. Sanchez who he knew would never set foot on the court early in the season, yet kept Gift as a red shirt, as we got killed on the boards?

The suspension of Dlo, which while at the time seemed a disciplinary tool, seems suspiciously to be an out for Lavin when the losing started to happen.

And with this years scenario that clearly does not add up.  His erratic use of Rysheed, the activation of Balimou, playing Nidaye, etc.etc.etc.  One cannot take coach seriously at this point and should take whatever he says with a grain of salt.  And let's not hear about coach speak, cause that's just not true anymore.

However, as we all know, winning cures all ills and for Lavins, and the teams sake I hope he starts winning.  One can only guess what team member will be this years scape goat.

Must agree that Lav's credibility is in question, putting it kindly.
