As 14.5 dogs the smart guys don't think it matters what D we play.

Thats what I was hearing about the Jays, here. Well, we got the chance to show they are only a mid-major, and can't get it done in the BE. Gatta kill em off the boards. Make most of our second chance opportunities and not give them any. Are they stronger and faster then us?

They are also at home, where they seldom lose. Good luck!

To win, I think we have to dare them to shoot 2pt FG's. That means extended pressure on the ball and on anyone out on the wings. Our Rotations have to on point, but with the way we block shots, I think we need to force them to drive to the basket. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gift get a shot on McDermott. I think McD can muscle Dom in and around the paint. Gift should be able to stay with him away from the basket, and casue at least a little resistance when he goes in the paint. I'm also worried about Wragge. If Sanchez is on McD, then it's Sampson on Wragge and that makes me very nervous. I actually think Dom will see more time guarding Wragge than he does McD.You think gift will be able to stay with one of the countries best players out on the perimeter?

Hopefully we can rotate well enough to create some block shots. I think Gift is the best option being that he can present the most resistance when McD posts up.

I think we have the athleticism to do that. Whoever is guarding DM though can't be giving help on other guys. discipline on defense will be important. And finding Wraggie in transition, that would be my second point of emphasis on defense. I think my last post to this got deleted, so let me try again.I agree with you basically. We do have the ability to guard him. My point was more to guard him man to man with little help. If you collapse on him or double he will make you pay worse. Let him get his and guard everyone else. His may be 10 or it may be 25 (although I think it would be closer to the higher number). Don't let the other guys murder you from three point range.

If we can somehow shut these guys down this could save the season, and be out deist rank opponent victory. If we can beat creighton at away, who says we can't do the same thing with Nova.Trying not to get my hopes up though...

They are definitely not stronger or faster than us, but they play with a high basketball IQ and can shoot. Those two things trump stronger and faster as we've seen multiple times this season. As a team we miss between 4-10 bunnies a game. If we can keep those at a minimum, get the easy buckets, we can compete in this game.

Game was more lopsided than the score shows. State dominated them with their athleticism. Besides Thames, Shrigley hurt Creighton from outside. If we can hold Wragge to 10 and keep them to 70 Pt's we have a chance.
I'd try the old triangle and two defense, with McDermott and Wragge being guarded at all times. Then, zone the rest of them. They might still shoot well enough to win, but I'd be banking on them not doing as well as the big two.
