Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but I think we come out with some real fire and the game is never in doubt.

Providence 74, STJ 70.

Harrison shoots 4-22, and in turn, shoots us out of the game. Lavin comes out in a zone defense, which he implements to take Providence by surprise. However, it backfires, as they hit 11 threes in the first half and take a 45-24 lead into halftime.

Several fans on this board are furious are consider wearing paper bags over their heads vs Creighton on Sunday.

SJU playing better but far from perfect.  If they play consistent D and move the ball adequately they win by 8-12 with game in the 60s.

Didn't this scenario already happen this season?  In any event, here's hoping we take another step toward salvaging the season:

SJU: 68
Prov: 62

These next 2 games, PC and Creighton, are the most important for this group of Lavin recruits, since he became Coach.

I think they are must win games for any sort of post season dancing, NIT or, hopefully not, CBI..

PC , very tough at home..

WE WIN..  68-66.. jordan  shot a buzzer.

I'm feeling optimistic...
The odds are that this is a close game, all statistics suggest it should be.   But I think we win in a rout.
I just have a feeling that they guys are starting to play with some confidence, and they'll have extra motivation after losing to the Friars at home.

They beat us at the line in a game CO gave us little. Whole stat sheet shows places points can be made up. Team knows D and getting to the rim the winning formula. I believe they have bought in. Sampson and CO wreck'em, D'Lo does whatever it takes. The whole team feeling it, and road does not scare them.  64-56.

69-63 SJU

Obekpa scores 13 points.

Obekpa blocks 7 shots.

Obekpa goes 2/3 from the foul line.

Obekpa has new hair cut and smiles thrice on camera.

Obekpa prints out, frames and places this post on the locker room bulletin board.  :coolsmiley:
