Will be playing with NY panthers in Pittsburgh  St. John's will be in to see him

Was told this weeks ago. This is ok. He may help us down the road, depending on 15 recruiting success.

Perhaps St. John's is feeling that Mason is not happening, and they'd still like to bring in someone else. If he's a legit 6'4/6'5 I'm all for bringing him in. We need a different look at SF in case Pointer doesn't perform well.

If they wanted him for this year they would have made this an official.

question. why go to prep school and then leave early? If sampson went to junior college, he would have graduated college atleast

I like his upside & fact he is a good student & four year player. That said, IMO he needs more seasoning & is not solution to improving perimeter play next year. Just not ready.

Heard yesterday that he will likely prep after all. We'll see.

Acording to the other board Jay Henderson is a Johhny as a walk on.  If so, adds nice depth with no tradeoff on a scholarship.

Must be 2014, would make no sense to be a walk on if he had another year to improve his stock. Good get IMO. Worst case he is a quality practice player.

From a talent perspective, isn't this guy considered to be way better than your typical walk on?

This is a very interesting move for sure.  With Stewart, Henderson, Ndiaye and Lipscomb we have a pretty solid stable of walkons.
