BOX and UNO!

If we want them to score a 100.  Are you serious?
In all honesty, this is the type of player Sampson should be able to shut down.  Armwood of GW is a 6'9 post players and shut McDermott down by staying with him on the perimeter and manning up down low.  I don't mind Obekpa on him...hopefully it won't come down to the last possession.
Agree, that is if Karr was a good defensive player.

Chronic, I agree about the refs letting them play.  Oddly, it worked to both teams advantage.  They have fewer bodies and couldn't afford to get into foul trouble.  On the other hand, we couldn't afford to send them to the line because they shoot free throws at 90%.

Good point.

Can't believe how well they shoot their FT's. Also wanted to note, I second those feeling the Cooley hate, it looked like he hates Lavin more than "Needs2Go"
Prior to the 1st game at CA, they were very chummy...I am not sure if Cooley's cool handshake is anything more than being a sore loser....Boeheim patented that handshake...Cooley probbably just licensed it...

Lavin, to his credit, is the same win or lose...

Consistent D will win the game for the Redmen.  Run and run some more, they can not run with us and are not deep.  Push the ball.

PG Grant Gibbs in 21 minutes last night had eight assists, one TO and seven points. Tough kid.

3 point guards play significant minutes for them.  Unreal.

Gibbs will help break our pressure for easy buckets if we are not careful....he wasn't there in Omaha.

Defense was fine the first game, we shut everyone else down. We need to attack the rim out of the half court set. They don't have shot blockers and they are not deep, if we could get them into foul trouble and keep attacking, we win easy.

McD would abuse Jakaar down low. Sanchez is our best matchup, now if only he could stay out of foul trouble.

only way to stop McDermott is to kidnap him before the game or slip him a "mickey" ;)  Otherwise he is going to score his 30 points--enjoy watching him at the Garden as he will be pumped up for his first game on the "Big Stage".  He has to be the leading candidate for the Wooden award right now.  We have to play our defense like last game and keep others from scoring and change our 3PT shooting from 10% last game to 35/40% and we win while getting to appreciate a fine opponent player like McDermott.

I am looking forward to seeing McDermott in person. Think he goes off. Their other players didn't impress me that much. It's been a long time since we have faced a top player and won.

McDermott will get his and it will be plentiful and if he does so be it.  As much as his 39 killed us last game, I felt what killed us more was that huge drought we had in second half allowing him, not the other guys build that 18 point lead.  Lots of ifs and should halves, but minimize that drought and we win.  Eventhough we lost by 3 and his game winning shot, I felt the light finally turned on with that comeback, because since the 10 minute mark of the second half, this team has looked leaps and bounds better and what we all expected coming into season.

If we limit there team to 63 again, we win by 10.

Why are the cheapest seats $43 for this game?  Thats absurd.

We play in MSG.  They don't let us play for free you know :)
Looks like Stubhub only has seats in bottom level so maybe nobody upstairs.

what do we think the starting lineup is tomorrow?

I'd go with:
Jordan
Harrison
Dom
Sampson
Obekpa

I wouldn't be surprised if Obekpa starts on the bench to keep him out of early foul trouble.
