That blows

Stinks.  Going to be tough to beat Nova on the road without him.  They have big time size.

Un-freaking-believable!  We are cursed!!!  If Sanchez and GG doesn't step up, we're screwed.

Sanchez has to step up big time.

And avoid silly reach in fouls away from basket. Play smart.

Win tonight, roll the dice at Nova (Struggling early v. PC now) & hope he is back for Xavier.  If not back then, we are still at home for X. One at a time guys!

Waiting for a WASJU post about how Lavin inflicted the injury to ensure Obekpa returns next season.

Although we are going to miss Chris greatly,
luckily we are very deep.

Sanchez starting & Gift 15-20 minutes & Dom 5+min extra.
We didn't go this deep in the 6-10 years ago.

Get 100% well Chris. Hopefully your teammates will
step in & cover for you the next 3-4 games.

Things were going so well. He had really elevated his play offensively and obviously is always a force on defense. Really unfortunate timing.

One thing Nova doesn't have is size.  They have 3 guys at 6'7" or above.  Ochefu is listed at 6'11", Pinkston at 6'7" and the Freshman Darryl Reynolds at 6'8".  Otherwise, they are a perimeter team.  While not having CO hurts, I don't think it is devastating against Nova.  It will hurt us more in the Xavier game.  Gift has to battle Pinkston down low.  Ochefu is taller but he isn't that physical.  Sanchez and Sampson should be able to guard him.

They are physically big is what I meant.  They go to the glass.  Not worried about matching up with on the perimeter.

They are physically tough with Ochefu & Pinkston. They also draw fouls. Will be a challenge, but first things first. Beat Butler  Johnnies!

Being an optimist, Sanchez is forced to step up and does because he has to. This will time will prove to be valuable experience for him and help us for the BE tournament and the NCAA tournament.

Need everyone to step up their rebounding, especially Sanchez and Dom.

As important as Sanchez and GG have to become by stepping up and filling CO shoes in middle, the guards have to be equally as important, limiting penetration in lane so that our bigs don't always have to help defend and possibly pick up fouls.

We talked about depth all year and now we get to see it.  Sucks not just because of the injury but because he was literally playing the best basketball of his career.

But no one is going to feel sorry for SJU.  Suck it up and let's see Sanchez and Achiuwa get after it.

No this sucks, but Lavin wasn't playing him much earlier so I guess it is not that big a loss to him.
