When was the last time an SJU coach can actually decide what players they want on their team instead of hoping to get a decent recruit to the school? Despite everything else with Lavin he has made SJU cool again.

One additional recruiting tool for 2015 guys is the trip to Maui to play in the premier preseason tourney.  On top of plenty of PT and possibly 3 BE Freshman of the year winners in 4 years...I would expect our recruiting to pick up!!

Even if recruiting picks up for '15, that still means we're basically starting over after next season.
Harrison class graduates and good chance Jordan and Sampson could leave.   That's troubling.

But still good news that recruiting is picking up.

Going forward, I think we as fans should be careful about projecting players to the NBA.  According to some fans on these boards, we potentially had 3 first round picks this season (Jordan, Sampson, Obekpa) and it's fairly clear none will be.  Let's just enjoy our players while they are here.
