No need to get there early. Sheesh!

@JonRothstein: Fordham/LIU + St. John's/Tulane will be a double header at the Barclays Center on 12/28/14, source told @CBSSports. #SJUBB

Are you kidding me?  I will be there, 2 games for the price of one!!!  Ha...

Makes no sense. Dont think it would be to hard to find to decent teams with some fans to play in NYC during Christmas time. I dont think every team in the Big ten would say no. Think UCONN would come or maybe Maryland.

Hahah.  How much does barclays lose on that double header? At least if those bad barclays games were part of the season ticket plan some people might go, but they just continue to schedule terrible games there

What a stinker of a holiday doubleheader. This is like some of those weak ECAC Holiday matchups plus Tulane.

It's almost as if we are trying to draw as poorly as possible in the Barclays Center.  How many season ticket holders will pay for this (assuming it is not part of the season package)?  I predict <4000 fans show up

What are you going to do?  You are not going to do much better.

SJU feature games are still going to be at MSG and the lesser type games are going to be at Carnesecca.

So they want to play 1 or two games at Barclay’s every year so what do you expect?  Duke?

The Holiday Festival at MSG recently hasn’t exactly been the Maui Invitational.  Last year LaSalle/Stony Brook and SJU/Fordham.

Bottom line is if SJU is off to a good start and looks legit and maybe throw in a decent Tulane team and maybe Fordham gets off to a decent start you could have a decent crowd.

No one is expecting 16K or so either way.

Don't play there at all if you can't schedule a half decent opponent. The story will be how bad sju fans are at supporting their team - not all exposure is "good" exposure. I went last year to the Georgia Tech game. There were maybe 2500 fans there; it was noticeably quiet

Well then that is different.  But they should go there imho and the hope is that you get 2 or 3 good local teams playing well and draw decent.

Why not play some games there. Looking to the future Barclays will eventually get some early round NCAA games, hopefully with us playing. Beside some of us Brooklyn Center alums enjoy the venue and the neighborhood where we spent  our SJU years.

Was there last year and was disappointed by attendance.  Venue is not bad and there are great places to eat and drink after/before the game.  Power teams would improve numbers as West Va. vs. Mich.  This should be an all NYC triple or quadruple header representing each of the boro's with SJU, FU, MC, ST. Francis, LIU and Wagner (and if 4 games bring in 2 div 3 teams like NYU and St. Joe's or a CUNY team)

I'm going to the Tulane game.

I've been to countless games at Alumni and the Garden.  I've been to 2 at Barclay's.  What's wrong with something new and fresh?  Wish I could have that in my love life.

The Penn State game was fun last year up until the brutal outcome.  Don't see how the program is harmed any by playing to 3k at Barclays as opposed to 3.5k at Alumni or 4.5k at Msg?

3K at Barclays and 4.5K at MSG are both bad looks.   If this team can't confidently bank on a draw of 5K+, have the game at CA, play it on the road, or don't play it at all.  I'd rather have a 1-2 fewer games at MSG or Barclays than have 1-2 games where the story is "this building is empty - sju is irrelevant."  Tulane game at Barclays Center outside of the season ticket package makes it a lock for less than 5K... unless SJU is ranked at that time.

Is it Because we're scared or is it  because we already have Duke and Syracuse  scheduled? Or maybe jayZ thinks that Hofstras a better draw than Iona. What's your take?

You're right...Why should we? Doesn't make sense...Nothing in it for us...Everything in it for Iona...It's a Super Bowl for them...Would you do a deal like that in your business?
