Myles Stewart getting some press

Very nice. I'm rooting him. Good against Niagara is one thing. Good against SU in the Dome is another thing entirely. If he plays well in the Dome, I think everyone will become a believer and fast.

I agree shooting in Carrier Dome is difficult & I would not judge him by Saturday's results. Hopefully he helps us in complementary role this year & in the future. Let's not expect too much too soon.

Btw, I like the way he gets up court & finds the open three spot. He does not lack confidence either. I heard Keady chuckle about his "moxie" but noted he needs time. It is a plus to potentially have an athletic player with shooting ability v slow footed, one dimensional guys. "Reggie Theus" no, but perhaps he develops like Fortune, the PC shooter, who transferred this year. We'll see.

The strength of our team is it's guard play.  I'm sure most posters would agree that we have 4 excellent to at least fully functional BE caliber guards.  3 of whom are seniors and the youngest might be an Nba player some day.

I'm concerned that finding too many minutes for a freshman walk-on guard might amount to subtraction by addition.  What we really need is a competent freshmen walk-on forward/center.  Not a young guard to steal minutes from our best/most experienced players that need to be on the court the entire game.

Let's keep Miles under wraps this season.  He's going to get his chance in a big way ,while on scholarship, beginning in the 2015/2016 season.

Unfortunately, 3pt. shooting is a pressing need.  If he can give it to us, there will be minutes for him in a 4 guard lineup.  If we had front line help, I would agree with you.  It doesn't appear to be the case.

Hope Cotton calls Lavin if he has a McDonald's AA as well. That being said, this is the type of four year player this team needs in the worst way. He will only get better and unlike the other "shooters" Lavin has brought in, Stewart will not be overmatched on the defensive end.

Ok. Than use him late in games when we're behind as an additional 3 point shot option.

3'lo needs to play 40; Savior and square 35 with Aggie getting significant minutes spelling Jordan at the point; when Harrison is in foul trouble; and in 4 guard lineups.

My God no!! 20 is quite enough.

First these nick names suck. Second we are playing 6 guys. Myles may get a chance, and jones may get a chance. Either our 6 are winning or they are losing 

I am not impressed with what I've seen out of Jones so far. At this point, I'd rather see Amar play over him.

I like him and more importantly Hollywood loves him.  Plus he's a senior that's played like a zillion minutes already.  That should be good enough for 30+ a night.

Admittedly they're weak except for the any geometric shape whatsoever other than a circle for Mean Joe. That's brilliant!

No problem Tony.  No offense taken.

The origin of the shapes harken back to a time when Phil Greene the fourth was forced to often play point guard because the team really had no other options. He was chided on this board in a mean spirited fashion with the nickname "Circle" for his tendency to dribble aimlessly in circular patterns. Hence, I began to call him any shape at all other than a circle.

I've been using obscure, lame nicknames to describe Johnny players and personnel since the Beb heyday.  This one remains a personal favorite of mine.
