npike. (Union)

It's great for the fans that we're ranked and winning - But above and beyond that, the team is imminently watchable.  I've been enjoying this very entertaining brand of basketball.

Team level:
They're running every chance they get.  They're playing a small athletic lineup applying more than our typical amount of ball pressure leading to a plethora of steals and dunks...dunks...and more dunks. Block party!  Even D'lo, Miles and Phil Greene??? getting into the act with typical culprits Chris and Dom. They seem to like each other and have a fun, infectious attitude.

Player level:

3'lo - Scoring in every conceivable fashion including banking in Nba threes...drawing charges and travels in your face defensively...diving out of bounds for loose balls...all while wearing his heart on his sleeve,  playing to the crowd, chest bumping his teammates and yelling to the rafters following big plays.  Oh yeah, great facial expressions and eye rolling.

Savior - Flashy assists...Incredibly athletic/creative finishes at the rim...ball hawking steals and that one-handed tomahawk jam.

Oblockpa - Never met a shot he didn't like -- to block...Great stuffs...Dirty play...and oh yeah, great facial expressions - usually to the ref.  Still has never committed  a foul nor goal tended in his mind.

Sir with Love - Big steals...Dunking over and on people...Big momentum changing plays...Great shot blocks from behind...Dirty play...Our highest of high flying jams.

Aggie - Flashy assists and pretty left handed finishes.

Mr. Greenejeans - Timely, late game heroics punctuated by Huge threes.

This could be a great year for us!

Yesterday, was the first time,  I saw them repeatedly double team the ball  and trap along the sidelines...corners....leading to multiple steals and turnovers.  Glad to see it added to the defensive repetoire....really important for the Big East.

Absolutely true hnk.  That was a good sign.
That should be a regular  benefit of playing our small but athletic lineup.
