Book needs to back off, he's too late. Slice, Abs, and Dan need to keep on keeping on. With all respect to Chiles times are a changing, there's now a bench filled with BK residents, I remain confident.

This is what happened with Briscoe.  We had him about to commit and Seton Hall came in and convinced him to wait.  Then Cal came in and took him away.  Seton Hall wasn't even in it at the end. This Willard is killing the Big East. Very underachieving coach, and he messes up our recruiting.  And St. John;s is the most important school for the Big East.

@NYPost_Brazille: Yes, Arizona offered #sjubb target Shamorie Ponds, but I'm told they aren't bring added to list. Same 4 schools.

Based on those tweets, then it sounds like they probably won't listen to 'Zona's pitch.  If that's the case, then he'll probably commit to St. John's shortly.

I knew Mullin couldn't close this deal.  This sucks.  Bring back Lavin.  At least I don't feel bad about bashing him.

In this case no, but in general do you think Arizona's really sweating Chris?    They are a recruiting juggernaut.  I think the one thing they found is that after relying on Sean and Book's east coast connections early (Momo, Parrom, etc...) that they didn't need to do that.  They could target top west coast kids and do great.  They' sign 3 top 50's every year and have signed 6 top 10s in the past 4.  They're doing just fine.

I think we still land Ponds, but you can't blame anyone on this forum for being a little nervous given what has happened to us in the past.
