Harrison kept us in it. Missing the critical FT hurt, but he played well. Is Phil Greene still shooting? Please Lavin give him decent time, but limit his shots please. Look at his shooting lines since Cuse heroism. Terrible!

Only two guys showed up tonight:  Branch and Harrison.  Branch led the team in rebounds with 7...we won't win many games when that happens.  Delgado ate us alive on the glass.  That is a strong effing freshman.  I think he gave Chris a wake up call about the NBA.  We don't matchup well with bruising PFs.  I'd rather go up against a good center.
My vote goes to Harrison.  His shot selection has really improved this year.  I really don't have a problem with him launching threes (unlike Jordan), but I love when he goes to the basket.  His mid-range might be the best in the entire country.  We would have lost by 30 without him tonight.

Who voted for Rysheed Jordan? I don't think I've seen a more selfish player in a Johnnies uniform. He views himself as this can't-miss PG that will be starting int he NBA in 2015, but he has no shot if he keeps playing with this low of an IQ.
I swear I see Sampson  sometimes with him.  He just takes jumpers whenever the hell he wants.  He's playing an entirely different game than the rest of the team.  Like Sampson, he does so much so well, but he insists on trying to prove himself as an all-around scorer, and he's not.  If he played within his current ability, he'd be nasty and we'd be much better.  Look at Delgado.  The kid doesn't try to be anything he's not and it's devastating to opponents.
WTF was that technical about?  Another second half tech for no reason. This kid is raising every flag he can to scouts and is not the kind of talent teams will take a chance on.

And Carrington

You know I actually was hoping we didn't land Carrington because I thought we could do better. For a freshman he is pretty good

As far as players of the game when we lose I fondly reminisce back to my days of little league baseball in Glen Cove. There was an ice cream place near the stadium and after games you would see kids and their teams racing up there for ice cream. My dad who was our coach had a simple rule. No way is he or the parents paying for ice cream after the game for losing.
So this is an ice dreamless day as far as I'm concerned :)

Like I said in the game thread, we are better when he's not on the court. If we had even a little depth then losing him for the rest of the season for whatever reason wouldn't hurt us one bit. He's been horrendous all year outside of having a nice game against a scrubby team here and there. He's light years away from being an NBA player and I'm not sure if any decent pro team in Europe would even want him

*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Jakarr's selfishness killed the team at times last year and it's even more apparent that Jordan's "gotta get mine" attitude does the same to the team this year. After we go down 14 because of his stupid technical, Lavin pulls him and goes back to the starting 5 and its this lineup that gets us back to within 2 due to defensive pressure and Branch running the show. We get better shots with Branch in there and it's not even a question anymore. If only we had a serviceable shooting guard we wouldn't need Sheed at all, especially if he continues to play selfish bone headed ball
