Butler

Personally very deflated after yesterday . Hoping for a big rebound . Been a fan for about 20 years, can't remeber a bigger home court advantage then I am expecting tommorow. If Jordan plays like a top player In the big east think we can compete with anyone in the country. Hoping one of the assistants or someone helps him out of this. Whatever happened in the past happened. I hope he earns Another chance. Guys who are as talented as him get more chances then regular guys.
With Jordan I expect a big win . Without him it's going to be close. Home court should let us prevail. Let's go into Tuesday on a good note.

Road wins will be hard to come by this year. We got out played yesterday, it happens especially against good teams on the road. I will only be worried if we follow yesterday with a loss Saturday. I know Butler has a couple nice wins but having seen them a play a bunch I think Seton Hall is just as good if not better. I also think we are better then Butler and if you have a home game against an equal or lesser opponent in conference you have to win those. Saturdays game is huge in my mind, one of the bigger games on the schedule. Need momentum going into Villanova or we could get off to another very slow start in conference.

Butler is good man....they are a tournament team.  So was SH.  The Big East is tough.  Anyone expecting us to walk through with 2-3 losses wasn't being realistic.  Take care of business at home, sweep Depaul, win 3/4 over Marquette and Creighton, and don't get swept.  That is the formula.

@JonRothstein: Butler officially names Chris Holtmann head coach, per the school. Interim tag has been removed. Replaces Brandon Miller.

Does anyone know if this was for health reasons or not. It seemed like the leave of absence was well guarded.

I could be way off but I think it's more mental health than physical health.

Bought some very expensive secondhand tickets for tomorrow's game to support the seniors and Obekpa as best as I can. Hope we come out strong after the seton hall game and this Jordan nonsense.

If Carnasseca was rocking for the previous two games, the building's foundation should be alarm all game long if we play well and win. This is a big game to get the fan base energized for the rest of the season as well.

Agreed. As much as the trolls on here want to start dogging them, the team is 11-2 and ranked 15 in the country. This could be a big game for the seniors to show that they can continue winning without Jordan and a needed confidence boost leading up to nova. I hope it's loud.

Balamou is out today. He turned an ankle against Seton Hall. But there is a rumor online that he borrowed Chico's soap, and "no return" and he's upset about that.

I'm wondering the same thing. What kind of BS station is that?

Offense stagnant. Wish Dom would just shoot that three occasionally just to keep the defense honest.

That won't keep the D honest. He will just keep missing and they will give him even more room to shoot it the next time

This looks a lot like the team we had last season that struggled to score.  Except now it's without Jakarr and Rysheed.

Box score does show 6 (with Jones), but Delarosa was in the game as well.  Not sure why it's not showing up in the box score.
