@ Butler - Player of the Game
« on: February 03, 2015, 09:30:07 PM »
I dont want to vote for anyone, but if I had to pick someone it would be Felix.   He surprised me a bit.
Dom would be number 2.

Felix for doing something that he never has done--score.

Dom made some shots but he killed us early with missed lay ups and dropped passes. Not to mention his -5 pt play in the second half.

Felix

Felix! He deserves something after getting screwed with that red shirt debacle.

I voted for SDP, but only because there was no option for Chris Obekpa. He was the PoG .....for Butler. His defensive talent is lost because 1) he is a head case, 2) has no hands, 3) has no BB IQ, 4) laughs when he makes silly mistakes, 5) throws up bricks from both the field and free throw line. Need I go on.  Go play in Turkey next year, CO.

VOted for Dom but wanted to vote for CO.  May not be the most valuable but he is the smartest, got out of this travesty early. ;)

Felix played well tonight, but he was not screwed.

He did not lose a year. He was given a 4 year scholarship. He is getting that. Coach changed his mind. That happens and was the correct decision .  May be he would have played 30/40 minutes in a few games the beginning of last season .

So why give him a 5th year. Because he is nice. He didn't earn one.

Obekpa may end up being the player of this game if, God willing, this debacle is enough to wake someone up in the administration and pull the cord. Unlikely though since I'm sure no one in the administration was watching this one.

He is not even done with his third, and he hasnt earned his fifth yet? We have plenty of room for scholarships. Any kid who is willing to red shirt should be given the 5th year.
