Terrific win! One at a time.  Guys banded together today. Rysheed came through on an off day, and Sir Dom led the cavalry

Yeah, took him 35 minutes to realize a zone might work against a much bigger team.......

Determined to be an idiot today, huh?

Care to retort or do you want to resort to more childish namecalling ?

LOL come on dude. You're determined to blame the coach for anything and everything. It's funny. But when they come out with the win, not a peep.

Dom was freaking awesome today. Harrison is a warrior.

Greene's stretch in the second half with the three 3s was great.

Would love to have seen more of Branch because he was on fire. Jordan had a couple of big plays but was mostly a non factor.

Coach did everything he could to keep Xavier in this one, but the players effort and preservation today was incredible.

What in the world are you talking about? Are you confusing me with another poster? I'm here in every thread before, during and after the game.

I think the only game thread I didn't post in was Butler because I was working and didn't even watch the game?

I can't help if I think Lavin was atrocious today.

Not confusing you with anyone. Just read this one game thread. We won a HUGE road game but apparently our coach is horrible and can't coach a lick. Um, okay.

I'm not one to blame lavin for everything but this game has been appalling...

Starting Balamou

Starting JDLR in the second half

Keeping Jordan in right now while Branch was a monster in the first half

Calling that timeout after a Dom layup with all the momentum and up 7

How about that idiotic 2-3 zone he decides to break out with 4 minutes left that gives up a wide open layup and-1

come on man. What was wrong with that zone? It worked well besides that one play.

Besides starting 4 guards and starting the game 10-3. I thought Lavin coached a great game. Defense was great. Switching fro man to zone and back worked . When he subbed that player coming in had an immediate impact .

Yes and I was posting from the very beginning, but you said there would no peep from me after the game, while I was typing up a post-game recap. Lol...

It was a great win, I just think Lavin's tactics today were horrible for most part from the start. We're clearly a far more talented team than Xavier and the guys played great. Once our best players were on the floor we destroyed them, but the whole starting of Balamou and then Joey were horrible backfires. I don't see how anyone can sit there and not see that, but okay. We won so coach did great!

I don't think you want to post even one 100% positive thread, even after a victory.

Coach does a quirky move or two or three in a game, but if looked at objectively, coaches' moves do not determine most games. Talent and execution do.

I am focusing on the good things everyone posts today. This was a terrific win and keeps the guys in the talk for a bid.

Sir Dom has elevated his game in this stretch run. The ham and egg golf tourney foursome is in effect.

Yes, such a positive post-game recap. lol, might wanna re-read it. It would kill you to say anything positive about coach Lavin. Thats's fine, but just admit it.

Great win!  Not sure what Lavin was thinking with the balamou at the 5 experiment but once that ended we beat Xavier by 17.  Very impressive road performance by the team.  Sir Dom was spectacular...Id be shocked if he doesn't start getting some consideration as a second round pick.

Boy ws that scary when dangelo went down...

Back to .500 in the BE.  If tourney ended today we'd be in.  finish the reg season 4-2 and win first round BE game and we are definitely in.  Go 4-2 with a loss in first round and I think we are a 50/50 coin flip.   It's there for our taking...

Great composure down ths stretch. Wins at SU, Providence and Xavier. I think 4-2 gets us in at as 11 seed, but 3-3 would require a BE tourney win. Gotta come out strong in these games.

Pointer was tremendous. He has become everything we had hoped he would be when he signed here. Good for him for making the most out of his opportunity and turning out misfortune into the most improved player in the BE. Maybe the nation.

Outstanding effort today and a really good win on so many fronts.  Puts us at 500 in conference and another top 50 RPI win.  The two road wins we have had in the conference, were against a top 4 team in BE and a team that had only one loss all year at home.  Pretty impressive.

Sir Dom might be having the best all around season that I have seen from a SJU player in 15 years.  Not the best player on team, but really an outstanding year.

Looking forward to our next 6 games.  We definitely control our own destiny.

Nice team win. Everyone stepped up at different points of the game.  We are a different team with Dlo back at full health.
