Have posters really taken to attacking Brandon Sampson in their attempts to denigrate Steve Lavin?  Really?

No.

This whole thing is just getting ridiculous. The hate for Lavin is crazy. Is he great? No. Is he destroying the program and the worst coach ever like some make him out to be no. My only problems honestly with him is his reccruiting of late and the constant drama surrounding the program. I think we have won a decent amount, been a decent coach overall but why the hell we were playing with 6 guys this year including one big man. That is inexcusable, if this team had a big man or two they would have a good shot to make a tournament run. And now this year we one impact from day one recruit in Sampson and possibly the entire team who played significant minutes not returning. No good excuse for that at all.
It's really 5-6 posters who say the same thing 30x a day in a variety of threads, like they're opinion is oh so important they want to
make sure you get. It actually ruins the board. The rest of your post was spot on.

He can always be bought out next year.

Is it going to be the desired one year max payout at any point/year in contract?

Hopefully Lavin makes us anti-Lavin guys change our minds. He's the only person that can do that

Don't blame you, I was not being serious anyway, though I think most people will feel differently about the extension if Diallo is signed up.

Let's just all hope this exercise lights a fire under his ass and results in a change in the way some things are done.

I want mj to see the staff down in North Augusta this July buzzing around like a swarm of bees.  I want to see them shaking the tree limbs of Baltimore, DC, and wherever else in Europe they need to extend to get some non-flaky bigs in here that cause no head aches...whatever it takes.

I agree....we should start a  topic of what we want.......not goals...but actions......ie. recruit Baltimore......ie. big presence at North Augusta....etc

Jeez, some of us on the board would volunteer our time if we were allowed to.  I hope they want it more than us - they need to moving forward, and it will show with better results on the trail and on the court.

Well this team is going to suck next year. At least he's going to die by his own sword. I like the idea though. Let Lavin bring in some high level athletes (something he always does well) , and if he can't do it, the cupboard won't be dry for the next coach in 3 years.

Hope there's changes to the rest of the staff though.
