There could be a few reasons for no announcement yet. Maybe it was agreed between UK and SJU that Slice wouldn't be active this recruiting period or that Slice couldn't recruit Diallo, etc.

All I know is if Slice isn't out recruiting for UK this weekend it is a good sign for us SJU fans.

That makes sense.  Thanks for the info.   Are you expecting any player commitments this week?

Sima seems likely sometime this month. We'll see.

Interesting month for clarification of Jordan status, rounding out coaching staff, keeping Sampson, recruiting Mussini, Sima & some kids we don't know about I bet. Considering staff has been short & at this less than two weeks, I am so impressed with progress to date, their organized & systematic approach to recruiting & their great work ethic. Outstanding start! There will be bumps in the road, but I think the Mullin regime is well on its way to building a quality sustainable program.

I have low expectations for next season, whatever success we have is like finding a $50 bill in your jacket pocket. We are in good hands

Exactly Marco, lose the battle, but win the war adage may apply. To me anything they do next year is gravy.

Not sure who is hyped more, Slice or the greatest basketball mind in the world Mike Dunlap?
They both know more than ever - you win with quality players and individuals.   UK even gets away with guys who don't shake hands when they lose or hurl off pissed off comments.   ;D

Yes.  I look at next year as setting a tone for Mullin's reign.  We'll get a glimpse of the style the team will play, look at effort levels, and watch Chris' style of managing game situations.  All I know is preparation pays off in the long run towards attaining more consistency in winning - with enough talent of course.

I too have heard its done and is the same length as Mullin's deal. I am not sure why there has been a hold up for a week.

Trading bucks for security  (time to build team and see the results) in move back; he'd be 57/58 at end of deal--at that age does he really want to start out again????  He may figure this is the "final" stop in the journey of a career.

It is a multi-year deal but it is not for 6 years.

Could be rollover's after the initial guarantee? IDK

Do we know what Mullin's is? 6 years 2 mill each?

Evan Daniels on twitter says finalizing deal with Slice.   Seems like a done deal.

@AdamZagoria: Slice to St. John's is "done," source tells @SNYtv. I see @EvanDaniels also reporting that. Story coming soon.
