Naz Reid on his visit to SJU:
Having never been to Queens to visit St. John's before, Reid said that the visit was a chance for him to see the campus as well as get a feel for new Red Storm head coach Chris Mullin and his coaching staff and he said he enjoyed everything he saw.
"I had never been there before but it went great," Reid said. "The campus seemed nice and we got to play around a bit and talk. The coaches seemed really kind and genuine too which is something you really look for."
Reid said that he got the opportunity to speak to Mullin and his assistants and that the conversations revolved around what they see in him as a player like now, and what they feel they could offer him going forward.
"They were telling me how good I can be and how good I am already now," Reid said about the talks. "They also went in to how they feel they can help me improve as a player."
Coming out of the visit Reid said he came away impressed with everything he saw and that St. John's did leave a mark on him, especially Mullin who he says as an NBA Hall of Famer could help him achieve everything he wants.
"Coach Mullin achieved everything I want to achieve so I absolutely think he could help me a lot," Reid admitted.
