@sn_ncaab: The NCAA rules committee has decided to move to a 30-second shot clock and fewer timeouts, among other changes. http://t.co/TTyTfbda8B

Gonna need efficient offenses and good shooters.  It seems we will have some good shooters on this team especially if we can add Mussini and/or Lovett as well.  I like the 30 second clock.  It's not overly short.

I like the change to 30 seconds, but I love the less timeouts.  Games need to find their rhythm more.

*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

agreed, I think 30 is fine, but the timeouts are a bigger problem, will be nice to get rid of those. also the rule about making a timeout close to the tv timeout a tv timeout would be great too.  So annoying when there's 30 seconds of gameplay between commercials.

The game takes 2 hours. I am fine with timeouts. Especially when I am at the game. I plan my bathroom and beer breaks well. i like the 35 seconds also, but teams waste time on so many possessions I like the new rule .

I also like them; 30 second is long over due.  Heck girls play with that clock and it doesn't hurt the game.  The TO before the media was a way Lavin was able to play with a short bench; coaches will have to utilize more players now.  Glad Chris has brought in more players than walk ons as we will need them.  Surprised 3 point line not pushed back further.

Going down the entire list I like all the rule changes. Under basket arc from 3 to 4 feet is good as it will allow more driving to basket without getting an offensive foul (anti-Duke rule).

Why eliminate the 5 second closely guarded rule?

Most of these rules are really great. Super glad about the 30 sec clock.

I've wanted shorter time clock for a long time so I'm happy with this
