@NYPost_Brazille: Rysheed Jordan would've been academically ineligible for first semester, source said. Both sides agreed best decision was part ways. #sjubb

@NYPost_Brazille: Rysheed Jordan was given opp. to get eligible for second semester in December. Just wasn't going to happen. #sjubb

Sucks. We take a huge step back for next year. But probably better off for the long run.

It was going to happen eventually anyway. Tough loss for squad because he is so talented but lets build for the future.

Hopefully a positive that comes out of this is that Ellison and Mussini develop a lot faster.

Damn. Need LoVett to qualify and Mussini to come in the worst way now.

RJ is a point guard with absolutely zero leadership skills and to me that mitigates his physical talents. Sure we take a step back next near, but wouldn't want Lovett or Mussini learning from him.

And for everyone who thinks Mullin is the "miracle worker" and could have motivated RJ, disagree impossible to motivate the unmotivated. RJ has been consistent his 2 years at SJU, wouldn't have expected anything to change this year.

I wish him the best, but he has a tough road ahead of him.

We move on.  I have no problem with fresh start and entirely new team.

This guy's drama was one reason Lavin was asked to make other arrangements.  I wish him well, but pity the team that signs him.
