Wow they are going to put Butler and Xavier (two teams likely to be pre-season NCAA teams) in Carnesecca and Seton Hall and Marquette at MSG?

Not a fan of this schedule, too many on campus games.

There are two teams that essentially are guaranteed never to play at CA: Georgetown and Villanova.  Another one has not played at CA since they entered the BE, Marquette.

But if there is 1 other school whose recent success on the court should all but guarantee them a permanent spot at MSG it's Xavier.

All the others should be merit based.  In other words if they are projected to be good then they should be considered for MSG otherwise stick them at CA.

That's correct on Marquette.  I stand corrected.

If you remember they were projected to be a bottom 5 team in the BE that year and Buzz did an unbelievable job getting them to 12-6.

But it proves my larger point outside of a few teams only teams projected to be good should get MSG games.  Marquette was supposed to rebuild that year.

If my memory serves me correct, Marquette games have drawn well at the Garden.  That, plus the fact that their program appears to be on the rise again, justifies playing them at MSG IMO.

I'd swap Seton Hall for Xavier or Butler at MSG.  I don't think the Xavier games have drawn well either year - I was at the game 2 years ago when it was a HUGE one for the Johnnies, and I recall the attendance being lackluster (and Brandon Tierney calling fans out on Twitter for that).  Butler didn't draw well either at the Garden, but they were bad that year (although Butler - including Dunham -- shot terribly at the Garden, so maybe we should play them there LOL).  Perhaps that is why we are playing them in Queens - then again, does anyone here see Seton Hall drawing at the Garden?  I don't think so.

Another differentiating factor may be that that was when we still had the football schools.  Different times now.

And didn't the season ticket price go up? It makes no sense

My plan went up 40 dollars a person.
