Is it me or is this board not as excited about this commit as it should be?  Is it because folks are upset about Slice and are reluctant to tip their hats to a Matt recruit so soon?  I'm upset about Slice as well, but this seems like a really good start for 2018.  Thoughts?

The board is excited. It's definitely good news, and it broke a steak of what could be considered bad news. Personally, I'm not sad over losing a coach that accomplished nothing here. F him. That POS didn't deserve to get his name in the local paper when his contract was bought out. It's barely even news.

I'm not peeved at Slice for failing, which he clearly did. I'm peeved at him for quitting.

I like what the kid has to say about the school. Does anyone know how good this kid is? Is he a project or the kind of kid who can contribute day one. I like his size and the fact that he loves to rebound but he also mentions how he plays as more of a guard which is odd for a 6'8 player.

I think he is a project. But it seems he can rebound , which is something we need.
