Just said it during the game!

Redshirt him or let him play?
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

I let him play. Going to get great experience and a lot of burn. Add a lot of chemistry with the guys playing in real games.

We also want Sima to be able to play without fear of foul trouble. Plus, if Lovett becomes eligible, maybe we can have a halfway decent season.

Is it official?  I know Diallo is, but the announcer didn't sound so definitive about Yakwe

Redshirt him.  I'd rather get him as a 5th year senior in a meaningful year with Lovett than to win another game or two this year.  He has always wanted to redshirt this year.

BREAKING: The NCAA has cleared St. John's freshman Kassoum Yakwe, per release. Huge Big East news. #sjubb

He's a freshman.
Play him.

Same with Lovett if he's cleared.

This isn't Sanchez situation.  Play them.

Hahaha I guess it's official.  Redshirt the young man.  No question.

Play him.  Nothing like game experience.
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

The positives to playing him this season:

- We maybe win 8 games instead of 7
- He gets some game experience heading into next season

Positives to sitting him:

- He becomes a 5 year player instead of a 4 year player.
- If he stays for a 5th year he will be an easy All Big East player on a team that will probably have a lot of talent and can do so damage.

I'd rather use him when we'd be able to do something with him. However, I don't think he reclassified with the intention of voluntarily redshirting

Let him play, you can't guarantee how long he will be here. Also the more the team plays together, the better they will be in the future. Who knows, maybe they can make the NIT this year.

Play him. It could help ease what is looking to be an ugly season. And he will have experience going into next season.

I don't like thinking 4-5 years from now. Shouldn't we know, of all people, not to take the future for granted?

Little surprised and a little torn.

He is going to be a stud but this team is probably still going to struggle with him and so I may prefer to sit him a year.

@NYPost_Brazille: There was talk #sjubb could redshirt Kassoum Yakwe even if he was cleared. But I doubt that happens. Expect he plays against Fordham.

There is a 0% chance of the NIT this year with or without Yakwe

Play him. Can't worry about 4 years from now in this business and experience will go a long way
