2 years, as noted above, can apply for third, but not a lock.

Some #sjubb news. Felix Balamou (foot) has practiced this week, expected to play in Big East opener against Creighton Thursday, per source

From Zach B tweet

Why's that, Baldi?  Would have at least 2 more years left.  Came in highly-regarded from what I read, and certainly looks the part (my view is that his play this year should be basically discarded, because he clearly was not 100% from the injury).

Why do you say that certainly looks the part? He looked like our most overrated recruit in 25 years.
Truth Poison.  He was reported by some to be our top recruit this year.  He was far from that. Seems like a good kid though, and  I still think he would have helped us, but he definitely  got overrated.

Might have something to do with 2 shoulder surgeries. Maybe I'm wrong here. I mean it was only 2 shoulder surgeries. Not 3 or 4 right.

Yankuba Sima Fatty ‏@Yankusima  2m2 minutes ago
Minor setback for a major comeback. 💪🏾

Included in the tweet is two pics of him working out with his hand taped up like JPPs. I think he's out for at least a little based on that, but haven't heard anything else.

Putting Hand and JPP in the same sentence is like putting Play and Abraham Lincoln in same sentence or car ride and JFK.
Not a post that would put people at ease

I can't remember this amount of injuries all in the same season. What a bummer.

Honestly, if it was going to happen in any season, might as well be this one where we weren't going to accomplish anything as a team anyway.  Definitely doesn't help with Sima's individual growth though which is upsetting

I think that is obviously the most upsetting part. Missing Big East games sucks. Even with him we could go 0-18, but that time loss sucks most.

Only positive is it means more playing time for yakwe, who I think probably needs it more than sima anyway (not that sima doesn't need as much burn as possible himself)

valuable Big East floor time lost but if truly 4-6 weeks and not season ending, let's hope he's back for the games against DePaul where we may have a chance fort 1-2 W's (Feb 17 & 25th)
