NYT Keith Thomas Article

I feel a little bad for Keith Thomas, but he is a 23 year old man. Much of his fate was in his own hands.

I can't imagine a student not knowing what his grades are...and not questioning them when they're so inaccurate.

As an aside, the article should have mentioned North Carolina athletes haven't been required to attend any classes for decades.  "Rome" gets another pass from the paper of record.

The " moral support " was an empty gesture by our former coach who was a master of empty gestures. We can only hope that Keith can  move forward and make some progress in attaining his goals. From all accounts he was a scapegoat for a programs on both ends.

Or he was student who didn't do well in hs or junior college.
