We are simply too young, thin and under-talented at several spots.  Mussini plays his heart out but we need a Pg badly as well as a SG who can share handling duties.  We will have those with Lovett and Ponds but Mussini doing too much on his own.  Durand is really more of a SF and Ellison is injured and young.

Our front court also thin and going at this point.  Can't get too upset as we are really in our infancy in terms of rebuilding.

73-57 Fordham final.

Apparently Mullin was yelling at Neubauer and Chiles about leaving their starters on the court. Thats at least what the announcers said.

Didnt look as though he was yelling, but you could tell he said something to Neubaurer which he didnt appreciate. Enjoy it while you can fordham

Durand is not an SF. He's a 12th man that starts. He's horrendous

Good for him.  Mullin is a competitive guy without a full team.  Pretty sure he gave Neubauer a heads up for the future...

Don't disagree, but point was that positionally he's not a ball handler at all and more of a SF.  Mussini is our only guard of any type right now, and he's not a PG.  He will be better for it entering next year for sure, but without any backcourt we will struggle vs most teams.  And with our more talented interior players both being raw and thin freshmen, it isn't going to help either.

As many have stated, we are going to take our lumps throughout the year, and watching the young guys and our staff develop (as well as action on the recruiting side) is what this year is going to be about.  Let the Fordham's of the world enjoy this now, because the day of reckoning is coming soon, and our guys won't forget this for one minute.

As far as our former assistant, he should be embarrassed that after 5 years and millions of dollars, our staff was forced to put together an entirely new team in a span of a few months because of the ineptitude displayed over the past 2 years by him and our former head coach.

We all expect the rebuilding, I just hope that continued poor showings don't scare away the recruits we want to target and/or expect to land..

Agree, we definitely another ballhandler or 3. Mussini is not a true point and neither is Mvoika. Kind of like when Greene was forced into playing point when he wasn't a true point either.  LoVett and Ponds can't get here soon enough because it is going to be even uglier than tonight when we play big east teams with big east pressure

Johnson has almost zero offensive awareness. If we weren't so undermanned I'd want him on the bench at all times.

You don't deserve to win if you don't play hard. Why Durand Johnson is here is puzzling. If you don't care, we don't need you.

Mullin spent the night pointing his finger at calls the refs missed. There was no coaching tonight. This was a complete waste.

Johnson should be shown the door. If you don't care, get out. There is no value in having a grad student who sets a terrible example. This isn't why Mullin told Obekpa to take a hike. Shit, it better not be. What a pathetic effort.

My Freind was saying the same thing . He said the players don't even look to him they look to st. Jean. I didn't notice as much .
