The rumors don't make sense unless he just would feel comfortable somewhere else.

He wasn't ineligible because of SJU, it is not like the NCAA views SJU differently then EVERY OTHER SCHOOL.  He would have been ineligible at Illinois, DePaul, etc...

The rules aren't different here.  If he leaves it would simply be because of the normal transfer reasons (just feels more comfortable somewhere else).  But I have heard nothing,

I just don't understand the notion that he may transfer because he failed to gain eligibility here with the NCAA/  But he would have somewhere else?  Somehow his transcripts would have magically been different with the NCAA somewhere else?

Hopefully by week's end or sooner we will hear he will not be leaving.

It is bizarre. I wonder where this rumor originated. See what happens but I won't give it anymore credence until we hear something for sure.

If he was going to be eligible from jump, he would have had more offers and he would not have come here. SJU and Lovett took a shot that he would be eligible right away. It didn't work out. Possibly now that it appears he will be eligible right away, bigger, better schools have reached out to him and missing another half season is worth it to him to go somewhere else. Or maybe he is an 18 year old kid who is a little flaky?

With NCAA sustaining his PQ status, he would not be eligible right away anywhere. If he transferred by Friday he could play at new school commencing second semester next year, provided he stays in good academic standing.

My head hurts from this saga. :) Let's see how this plays out.

Wow! Was this all started by a statement by Baldi? If so he even admitted to having no inside knowledge. Is their any other evidence?

Nothing definite but it is out there and the people who mentioned to me are much more credible than Bluto. Off course that is not saying much  ;)

I wasn't hating. I don't doubt anything. You said you had no info. Where else is this coming from? Like others have said it would be foolish to leave.

Take it for what it's worth but someone asked Braziller if there was any truth to the Lovett transferring rumor and he flat out said no. Just makes zero sense for him when he be getting a ton of pt here next year and would have to sit out if he transfers meaning he will miss two full seasons of basketball. Hope these are just false rumors, we will see.

Like other women in abusive relationships many Saint John's fans are only happy when they are being beaten. And if they're not being beaten they create situations where they might be getting one.

This.

If he transfers or goes pro anytime in the next three years, Baldi was right about this all along. Remember how he predicted Lavin's departure in 2011 and every year after that? A true prophet. He went to USC, remember?

I think people should stop picking on Baldi.  He's been well behaved (relatively) lately.  And even now he told us was speculating and has no info. which is fine as long as he tells all that's what he's doing.

Baldi wasn't bs'ing on this one. It's legit. Doesn't mean staff doesn't work it out but there is most definitely smoke there

noboby is going anywhere till 17-18.  By then the backcourt will be defined and crowded.  Mussini could go pro in Italy and Lovett or Ellison might transfer due to lack of PT.  From what I have seen of Ponds he is the one definite 4 year guy.  Mussini will be excellent but the money in Europe may lure him.
