Ill admit that I'm a newer fan, but I'm still surprised Hardy hasn't made it on many benches. Is it because of limited time on the team? His numbers weren't great outside of ppg, but 18 per is nothing to sneeze at.

Depree:  a player I had never even heard of. Looked him up and evidently he was a very good one that you never hear much of.  Have been a fan since I was 10 (mid seventies), and have heard of most of the great ones, but apparently not him. Interesting, thanks.

Don't take this personally as I understand you are young but this explains why we have such a poor recent history.

Harkless over Brownlee?

Thank you no truer words there doesn't seem to be a realization of just how good we were once for a lot of years

Always one of my favs.  Played locally with the Nets as well.

Starting 5 is plenty good.
Hardy was 1st team all American
Harrison was all big east 1st team I think twice
Pointer 1 St team all big east
We have had very good players since norm. The problem has been. Felix, Christian jones, Marco b, max h, and many other crappy ones.

I think you have a start to one season wonders list: Hardy and Dom both had great senior year seasons. Kennedy, Brownlee both benefited from Dunlop's first year as assistant coach. Hill was a scoring machine before he got injured. A healthy Rob Thomas would have been nice, but he was a shell of himself after all the leg injuries.

Hardy was 1st team all American

Wut.
In any event, he was a finalist for the wooden award. Hardy was a great player for St. John's. Definitely should be in the conversation

Also may have been BEPOY had it not been for Kemba.

One good year doesn't get you in the greatest all time team conversation unless you're Carmelo Anthony.

Not to mention the guy who actually won BEPOY that year.

Hardy was an honorable mention AA if I'm not mistaken and like Foad says, which also applies to MO. One year isn't going to cut it unless we go deep in the tourney, or is an NBA all star calibre player.

Wasn't Hardy BE 6th man of the year which I guess you can call 1st team.
Wasn't Pointer also 6th man of the year.

First team all BE and most improved. For some reason Burrell was 6th man that year.
