We are up 1 with 32 minutes to play! End the game now!

This defensive game plan is looking pretty good

Missed most of 1st half. But saw the last few minutes. They looked good.

Looks like I'm watching a replay of the game these two teams played earlier in the season

Same halftime score.

Many thoughts on the first half:

-Malik plz work on your FT's this summer. Dude can be a great player for us but not finishing that three point play at the end of the half kills my soul.
-Amar playing really well again, he had struggled some lately. Another guy who has the body and tools to be a really good player for us.
-Defense is better for the Gtown debacle, but turnovers were a problem they def have 10+ points against us on scoring off turnovers.
-I want this win

As long as we can keep up the speed on defense we can keep this close

FT differential, which Nova usually wins will hurt us I fear. Also, can't afford one of our droughts coming out early in second half.

Have a feeling the 2nd half line of Villanova -15.5 was free money

Not sure I understand why Durand Johnson gets any minutes whatsoever in whats going to be an 0-18 season. He's terrible

I feel like any St Johns player needs to be murdered on the court to get a foul called in this game.

For all of his faults, he's probably currently the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team. He gives us a better chance to win than anyone else we can throw out there

Agree. He stinks. But he is one of our best.

I highly disagree. I think he's a big negative on the court. He has been completely atrocious this game which seems to be the norm for him rather than an anomaly. Would rather Mussini and Ellison get his minutes if he's going to play terrible and we are going to lose anyway

Ellison has played more than him...not sure why mussini isn't playing more. It's not like he is preventing us from winning and it's not like he's really stunting anyone's growth. He can score in a ton of different ways and is one of two players that has explosive capability, and he's the only one that can do it on the offensive end (yakwe being the other).

As an aside, it seems we get goaltending called against us a lot less than last year with obekpa. Are yakwe/sima just that much better with their timing?

No Obekpa didn't care about getting called for goal tending. He was an xsshole.

IMO, Musini is the most overmatched player on the floor.  Just doesn't have the speed, skill or physicality to play at this level.  Overmatched in all areas of the game.

I'd like to see Ellison at the 1 and Mussini at the 2 a ton on Wednesday. No reason Mussini should be sitting for large spells of the game at this point.

I did notice the sideline reporter said that Mussini told him at the SC game that he loses weight during the season. Less minutes could be them trying to get him to gain weight. I hope.

I'm more confident w/ Ellison running the ball than Mussini.  He's just lost right now.  Still needs minutes.

Ali B is a good team player think he'll get better even if as a role player.

Guys made some mistakes that should have been avoided but we didn't get embarrassed against #1 team on their court so I'm pleased...
