I would have said Jones, but maybe not. He has improved. He still has a lot to work on. I think needs more game experience. He needs to get better at seeing the court and moving the ball. It's a glaring weakness. With Lovett getting some easy ones, he could be a lot closer to the Glover type of baller that we've seen glimpses of this year.

Maybe Amar? Maybe Ellison? Maybe Mussini? I don't think of Yakwe or Sima leaving, but you never know.

This may mean nothing, but  I cant remember a big man we've had -- unless were counting DJ -- in the last ten years who was a better passer than Jones. Not saying hes Pau Gasol but he has pretty good passing skills for a big man. Turns it over way to much but honestly I think hes the best play maker we have, or had.

None of the above.  Not sure I see anyone transferring.

Probably Amar if anyone, think he will probably see the fewest minutes with the least chance for them to go up in following years. Also think he could really benefit from playing down a level. All that being said, I hope he and everyone else stays, Amar has a lot of fire that nobody else really showed. Could be a real shot of energy off the bench if used right.

I forgot about Williams. I don't want to lose an All Big East forward who can drain threes.

As long as it's not Lovett, Sima, Mussini, or Yakwe,  I don't care.

I picked Jones because if he does transfer he can play immediately. Only other player I could see would be Amar because he's about to be a 10 or less minute player a game if he doesn't drastically improve (and he improved this season from last just not a lot).

I don't see anyone really not buying what the staff is selling so I'm optimistic. Mussini and Sima already posted on social media they can't wait for next season.

Why do we need/want anyone to transfer. This group has clearly grown together and we have an open scholarship for a potential Thon or Ferguson. Honestly, I doubt we get either one (Thon my best bet though).

But even without them, our team next year is very capable of making some noise. We have the top recruiting class in the conference and that's not including Lovett who I know we recruited last year but is coming in this year. So I TECHNICALLY consider him apart of this class now. We aren't going to be world breakers and we shouldn't expect so high. But we lead the conference in blocks and are adding Owens. We are top 5 in rebounds (surprisingly) and are adding Owens. We are top 5 in field goal attempts and are adding Ponds, Ahmed, and Freudenberg who are shooters (this fixes how we are in the bottom 2 of shooting %). Lovett improves our ability to force turnovers and I think he will cut down the amount we turnover. Not to mention guys like Ellison will improve (he'll work on his strength and ability to finish around the basket) Mussini will improve through strength and conditioning.

We were 7-6 heading into conference play this year with beyond dopey losses to NJIT, Incarnate Word, and Fordham. Make those W's and we are 10-3 heading into conference paly (9-4 if you want to give back the Cuse game for reversing the other 3 to wins). Going 7-9 in conference play puts us at either 16-13 or 17-12. This is roughly what Creighton did this year and we would be very capable of beating Seton Hall with the roster coming in.

We should be able to make the NIT and perform well in that tournament. And I'm not sure how many scholarships we will have open for the 2017 season, but I think there's a very good chance to land Bamba, Preston, and Diallo (I think this staff HAS to land Bamba and Diallo with maybe Jordan Tucker as well in place of Preston).

Had a good post going until this part. Those kids are studs. Like potential best player in class studs. And to say the staff HAS to land them in setting them up for failure. Any one of those 4 kids commit and it is a dynamite class.

I meant to say they have to land at least one. Slice was brought in mainly for the big time recruits. I think he has to land one of them. And by saying have to I really mean that if Mullin wants to really rev up the momentum and pretty much insure his job for the next 3 years even more, landing one of those two would seal it.

It's not like I'm going to bash the staff for not landing them (even if they were to strike out on both). But I think I would start to at least question the effectiveness of Slice if they can't land at least one.

The freshman are not going anywhere.

Have no idea how Williams' injury plays into this.  But with his rel'ship with Matt and the high expectations surrounding him (and not just by us, from other publications), I doubt he is a candidate.

Amar is all about this group, it seems, as well as the incoming guys.  And I absolutely think he is a kid who will be content as a role player/9th or 10th guy if that is what this becomes.

If they think Jones has a role on this team next year as a rotation player in the front court, I don't see it happening.  If they don't think that, and have an honest conversation with the kid, perhaps he could go elsewhere.

If we end up with a good recruiting class next year, as we have this year, it doesn't matter who we land.  As has been stated, Slice is one of the best at this and has recruited for programs on the rebuild (like Pitt).  Few have his proven track record and i have no doubt he helped land kids in this coming class even if he wasn't the "point person".  Recruiting will be the least of the concerns going forward.  What the staff needs to show is that they can make guys better and improve with the in-game coaching, and I think both will happen.

I expect shuffling to happen, it's the only reason I held the poll. I'd love to have each of these kids along for the ride when we really get churning, but change is inevitable when rebuilding. Although Amar has a terrific heart, the numbers game works against him. I think either two more stud 2016 4-5 star recruits are coming along, or a combo of a 4-5 star and either a 5th year transfer or JUCO contributor will be added to this roster by Labor Day wknd.

Suspect you meant Memorial Day weekend.

Fifth year transfer more likely than 16 four/five star kids you mentioned. Sense Ferguson goes to Baylor & Maker to ASU.

Labor Day? Don't you mean Memorial Day? Labor Day is the one at the end of the summer.
