Right. I would have been good with 4-1 after in the first games and two teams this weekend with perhaps one advancing to the Elite 8 as Nova has. Get 4 of the 32 and 2 of the 16, particularly when those 2 had been near the top of the rankings all year, would have been a good run.

I wish Jay Wright who is a good coach and a great man gets as much praise as coach Jim

He's not as good as Jim. Not even close.

Agreed but one loss on a last second shot shouldn't make that much of a difference. We had an average run nothing more nothing less. PC and Butler won toss up games and Xavier and Seton Hall fell short. The Nova run makes it a decent job but nothing to be happy or impressed with.

Jay Wright does it the right way how many times has coach Jim program been in trouble that we know about without the NCAA looking the other way

I could never figure the love affair in playing in Syracuse New York team - I can see Duke, Kansas or Kentucky but why the Cuse

How silly it is that you think the way to run down Boeheim is by comparing his long body of work to the top three programs in the country. Why Syracuse? Kids go there because they win three quarters of their games playing for a hall of fame coach in the best conference in the country - whether the old BE or the new ACC - in a state of the art arena in front of 20 thousand rabid fans.

Gonzaga got a gift there w 11 seconds to go in the game. Cooney wasn't out of bounds.

That was just crazy.  How da heck does that trail official have the balls to come in strong as anything and steal that lead refs. call with 10 seconds left in a tight game?  And then to have it wrong?  Oh boy.  He's got some splainin to do.

My friend mentioned this to me last night:

This is Syracuse's second elite 8 of the season.

The first one of course being them joined with Wagner, UMBC, Rutgers, Chaminade, St Francis BK, Niagara & DePaul. =D

Ugly game but Villanova is playing a perfect game in terms of strategy.  Jay is mixing up the defenses and Kansas is all out of whack.

25-16 Nova.

The obvious surprise of the first half - Ellis doing jack.

Second biggest surprise - Kansas, who plays two very skilled PGs at pretty much all times, with Selden, turning the ball over 10 times.  Nova's defense causing more issues than I thought.

Selden better show up in the second half.  He was terrible in every facet in the fist half.

He is an excellent player, but Nova has some guys who in theory can give him trouble on the defensive end.  Ellis is the perplexing one for me.  Jenkins is a terrific scorer and smart player, but not known for his defensive prowess.  Would be surprised if Ellis doesn't have an impact in the second half.

Selden is a vastly overrated player. Has been since he stepped on the KU campus

Ellis looks like he's 40 years old. He and Selden been in collage for 9 years

Selden is only a junior but he'll probably enter the draft this year. Feel bad for whatever team drafts him

Nova takes too long getting the ball inbounds and up the court
