Thats fine.  I respect JPM's opinion very much.  But is having Soumaoro better than having Harrow, Kyle, Gathers or Jevon?  The answer to that is an emphatic no.

My sentiments exactly, Moose.  I'd like to have another big for the 2011-2012 season, but I can't see losing out on one of those-mentioned 2012 recruits for Soumaoro.

According to Borzello he left Texas Tech to head back to NY. Haven't seen anything else about it. I know we were on his final list, but I don't don't think we were really pursuing him., and it doesn't sound like we should have been

He did visit officially supposedly.

Maybe he got to Lubbock and was like "what the hell was I thinking moving to a dust bowl?" From all accounts (from people FROM Lubbock), there's not a lot of appeal.

Sounds like a great dream scenario.  As even insurance to Pelle.

Im thinking this is Lavins backup plan if Pelle doesnt qualify, (which would be a tough loss).

Did he sign a letter of intent with Texas Tech ?  If he did he might have to sit a year anyway.
Could  he Prep now (as had been speculated previously) & reopen recruitment & change to 2012 ?

Tech last second signed a 6'11" transfer from Canada that might have influenced Daouda's thoughts.
