I've never, as a fan, not wanted to see a postseason game. I would gladly accept a CBI invite, the more games the better. Not the other way around. These kids aren't going to "rest" this summer, they're going to play more basketball (or baseball). Might as well do it with an STJ uniform on.

Also, St. John's can't be invited to the CIT. That tournament is for smaller mid major schools only.

It's really not out of the question we could be considered for an NIT bid. The way we're playing right now, am I crazy to think we could beat Pitt and Rutgers, then maybe get matched up with a team like Villanova in the BET? If we finished .500 with 8 BE wins, I say we at least get considered. Not saying it's likely, but definitely a chance.

I think we need to get to the BET championship game to make the NIT. And if we get that far, we may as well win the game and make the big dance.

What about the year under Norm where we had only won 7 BE games? We still got in then. Granted we had 17 overall wins, but we played a really tough OOC schedule this year.

I think we should play in any tournament we get selected for. Why is the nit acceptable and and the cbi not?
