And of course the regular season D2 was due to the screw up by the NIT but lets not let the facts get in the way of a good whine.

Don't see how the FP game isn't an exhibition even if it's part of the Nit.  I thought a D1 playing a D2 has got to be an exhibition no matter how and when it's scheduled?

I have December 28th circled on my calendar: finally the revenge match up versus Tulane I've been waiting for lo these many years.

Me too.  I'm sure to be in Brooklyn for that one.  Hopefully we can top last seasons 2000 fans.

Not it's not an exhibition but it won't count towards RPI.

I'm going to have to adjust my win prediction....this schedule is pretty brutal.  The bottom of the league is going to be much better...no easy outs.  I think Butler is going to be way better than anyone on this board thinks.  The only weak spot for them will be PG.  Bringing back Roosevelt Jones, who instantly becomes one of the top players in the confernce is huge for them.

Butler wins 4 games in old big east.  They may and should be better, but if they are a problem. CBI here we come.

Whoever plays Chaminade in the Maui tourney gets regular season wins (or losses).

How can you be weak at PG, and still be good?

Can someone explain How this schedule is brutal? Butler, seton hall, providence, depaul, creighton, all twice. They don't suck but that is not brutal.  Georgetown and Nova are good but not great.

We played Chaminade last time in Maui and no you don't get a regular season win for it for the tournament. If you're 20-11 with the D2 win the info the committee get's says 19-11 not 20-11. It doesn't count for the selection committee's purposes.

Sat   2/14  3:00  @Xavier
Tues  2/17  7:00  @ Gtown
Sat   2/21   2:30  Hall (?)
Mon  2/23  8:00 Xavier (MSG)
Sat   2/28   12:00  Gtown (MSG)
Wed 3/4   9:00  @ Marquette
Sat   3/7    12:00  @ NOVA

That's the Brutal part.

Top 4 in the league are projected to be Nova, Georgetown, Xavier, and St. John's. and 5 of the last 7 games are against the top 4 in the league and the remaining two games are against a quality Seton Hall team and on the road at Marquette which is a tough place to play.

It isn't brutal. It's a tough league schedule. That's all. In order for it to be brutal, at least 3 of those teams would need to be ranked.

Oh, we can make it brutal, but that's another story.

So everyone in the BE has a brutal schedule because everyone in the BE plays everyone else in the BE more or less. That's good news: we'll get another 6 or 7 bids this year.

I think by BE play:
DSR
Trawick
Peak
Copeland
Smith

Wouldn't be surprised to start the year out with
DSR
Trawick
Bowen
Hopkins
Smith

but I think the freshmen break the starting line up sooner rather than later.

Who knows though, Lots of pieces. DSR, Trawick, and Smith are locks. but SF and PF are up for grabs in my opinion.

The schedule is very good.  The harder stretch should be in February/March - gives the team to gel and build up wins, then face the rough stretch with that experience under their belt.  Some exciting out of conference home games.  Also plenty of day games on the weekends which makes it easier for famlies to attend.  Good stuff, all told.

This is all semantics but teams claim wins over D2 schools on their regular season records. Committee might not look at it but it counts as a win. Just as if it would count as a loss.

Dave, is there a way to put the full schedule as a sticky on the first page for easy access? Not sure if it is easy to format a table using this software to include the current schedule. If this is something that you could use help doing and maintaining, just pm me. I'll be happy to help.
