More -looks like he was admitting himself to a mental hospital, and then had second thoughts:

http://m.arkansasonline.com/news/2015/may/29/asu-basketball-player-charged-attacking-police-off/

Well if we give out all the ships, and for some reason no one transfers out after after next year, then this isn't on Slice if he don't get any recruits for 17. I'm not saying that I don't like it, just saying he can't do his job without and ships.

How long are we supposed to wait for Slice to bring a recruit in? I'm content with where the recruiting is headed. Not thrilled, but content. What is Slice going to do in the future that he isn't doing now?

Isn't he in good with that PG from Oak Hill? for the 17 class. The school is in Va.

Reading more of those Livingston details, seems like we could be exposed by one missed dosage resulting in back page headlines we don't need.

Tough call for staff if he wants to come here.  Trust they will make an informed decision.

But regardless of what I think of Livingston, it would be a huge influx of talent if Matt A gets these two to commit.

No gurantees they'll be all conference players.  Who knows.  But at least we'll be playing with a full compliment of high D1 talent.
You couldn't say that last season.
Lovett Ahmed and Ponds, along with Yakwe, Sima, Owens, Simon, and Clark .. that's a real rotation if there all here in '17-18

And Freudenberg, Ellison, and Mussini!

I dont see Mussini contributing down the road.    Maybe im wrong Mase.
Freudenberg could be something.   But i think hes a project.   Not expecting a lot right away.

Agree on Freudenberg needing some time stepping up to college, but prior to his commitment, was told staff felt he had "two & done" potential. Obviously that prognosis does not necessarily mean NBA.  I never heard that about Mussini.

All in all, I think in year two Freudenberg will be very solid & hopefully sticks around for year three. He is not even here yet & I am already talking about his potential for getting a paycheck, lol. Sorry, just sharing how much staff thinks of him. Hopefully he has the goods.

At least a year and two days.

Think that Mussini will be a pleasant surprise next season playing with Lovett/Ponds.  Should get the ball where he can just catch and shoot.  I expect his 3 pt. percentage to top 40 next season.  Also think that Freudenberg, if spotted effectively, will be a solid outside threat. This team is going to need some drop dead shooters to implement CM's preferred style. Right now, Mussini and Freudenberg are our best options to fill that role.

This is the season for Mussini. He played out of position and too many minutes last year so hard to judge him fairly. This will be the year we will see what he can be for us. To get back on topic I would be happy to get Simon and Clark with either Kosta or Livingston rounding out the team

If Livingston reacted this way because he didn't take his meds one morning, I have absolutely no problem inviting him to play for St.John's. That is not the same thing as some thug who thought he could beat up a cop. And furthermore, I think we've all seen or at least read about situations where a cop or cops deserved a punch in the face, or worse. Every situation is unique to itself.

Regardless of where he ends up development wise, I think he showed this year that he can, at worst, be a nice piece off the bench, just my opinion.

They have meds that prevent felonies, multiple misdemeanors,  punching cops ...?

My preferred close to the Spring Signing period would be Simon, Clark to sit and Kostas to play immediately in 2016. However, if the staff feels that Livingston will bring the much needed brute toughness and scoring/rebounding ability that the team needs at the 4/5 then I trust their judgment. I for one prefer Kostas because of his favorable genetic pool and potential over four years, I think he's the type of project Mullin thrives to mold. He'd form a dynamic tandem with Rich for years to come. It's a tough decision but if I were to choose one I'd choose a developmental project over four years rather than a risk for an immediate contributor. Then again, I haven't seen any tape on Livingston.

Who in the BE can Mussini get by? The problem wasn't that he was playing out of position. It's that he doesn't have a position. He's not a 2 guard either.

My understanding is this:
1) Looking good with Simon and Clark. They view Simon has a marque talent and Clark as a kid who is a glue-type and with a year off and some weight is more talented than they will most likely recruit....they like him.
2) They have done the due diligence on Livingston and will accept him if he decides he wants to attend. Its 60-40% SJU lean.
3) The greek kid is a too far away if they have other options that can contribute. Its widely been stated correctly so he's hit or miss and right night for the staff he's a fall back option. If he turns out to be like his older brother then obviously they missed out, but he's a long way from that at this point.

Poison, didn't he greatly out perform your expectations last season? Perhaps he'll do it again.

Thanks for the info. Definitely interesting situation with that last scholarship and Livingston/Kostas. It probably also helps that Livingston opens up a scholarship for 17 instead of Kostas who will be eating one while most likely not contributing the first year or two.

He didn't outperform anyone's expectations, much less greatly.

So if they all come, we'll have at least one ship (next year...(.For Livingston)  plus whoever else leaves (Williams. Moose? etc.)
