Our lack of bulk inside was on full display today and was the biggest negative.  Ponds will continue to get an inordinate amount of defensive attention until Lovett is back.....while he has had games where he handles it, today he didn't.   I cringe every time Ellison and Mussini handle the ball.

Judging  games on an individual basis will drive some of you insane by the end of the year. Let's see what the record and who they beat before we say the sky is falling.

To this point we haven't beat one team we shouldn't have beat, lost the only real toss up game, and lost to two teams we should have beat by double digits. This team sucks

Well... No way he would have played better than Darien did today, and Darien wouldn't have gotten any burn had Sima still been around

Mullin called it when he said after taking 7 pt lead we got sloppy AGAIN. Thought our abundance of TOs cost us the game.

I know it is about coaching, but sometimes players need to make plays and play smart.   Up 7 no need to throw a half court fast break pass.  is that coaching or is a player just trying to do to much?  We need to pick up our defensive intensity,  LIU got to easy of a 3 to cut the lead to 1 with less then a minute to play.  Turnovers down the stretch killed us today, have to be smart with the ball in the final minute of the game

In my opinion last year was a total rebuild, this is a learning year, next year we have to win,  we will have more talent and experience.  this year is going to be tough but we need to stick it out get some quality BE wins and look to the future.

I have faith in Mullin, his staff and the players.  It's hard as a fan, we want to see wins every night and yes losing to teams like Delaware St and LIU really hurt, but you learn from your loses and try not making the same mistakes next game.

We were hoping that after not playing hard enough, and losing, they would play hard from that point on. It starts with out leadership. Our coach has to stress defense.

I want this program to be good again as much as anyone.  Remember listening to games on WGBB radio in the early 1970's.  Every lose is hard deal with, but lets be patient and not call for everyone's heads.  Don't think anyone felt this would turn around in year two.

Mullin's beginning at St.John's is similar to Norm's, although it's not as good. Let that sink in for a bit when you give him a pass for his first two seasons. Season 3 was the big breakout year for Norm that never happened. If it doesn't happen for Mullin, is that it?

No one thought this would be turned around in year 2 . But everyone thought the team would be better. And nobody expected no improvement from Sima and Yakwe.

The coaches failed today by not running enough plays to get Ponds shots without him having to create one on his own. Also, on a huge possession the play relied on Yakwe to catch a pass. That in and of itself was dumb

In all fairness to all the Norm haters in here, over the last say 15 years he has assembled the best St John's team. Norm came into this program in much worse shape than Lavin or Mullin because he had to clean up the mess left by the paper bag Jarvis. This years team is so unbalanced not sure how any real basketball mind wouldn't recognize this. Tons of 5th year seniors transfer who are eligible to play right away and we went after none of them.

The St John's motto has become wait till next year but that year just never seems to come. Norm is responsible for getting the two best jc transfers this program has gotten in a long long time.

God's Gift, Nurideen Lindsey, Marco Borgault, Orlando Sanchez, and now Bashir Ahmed. All over hyped players which gave fan base hope but none of them could compare to Justin Brownlee and Dwight Hardy. Norm's guys.
