I love beating Providence, Seton Hall and Georgetown.

Good job by the team tonight.  They didn't fold in the face of a Providence flurry, either.

Hopefully, we can carry it over into this weekend's game versus Xavier.

Again this was probably the best road opportunity left on the schedule.   Kids toughed it out, took that 14-2 blow  early 2nd half and fought back.

Mullin burning his timeouts help save the game from turning into a rout?

No way! And leave the door open to lose on a last second heave?
If it was a one point game I might agree.

Great road win for this young group against a team whose 4 best players are juniors, three of whom have been part of winning teams (and in games like this) most of their careers.

I also think Cartwright is a punk (nice player though), so happy to beat him and Easy Ed, who I've learned to grudgingly respect as a coach.

Defense is obviously still a problem.  But we rebounded with purpose in the first half and actually out-rebounded them for the game (I think).

Yes, Lovett hit some shots that he wont' make on a consistent basis.  But I really liked how he, Ponds and Ellison went to the bucket tonight, seemingly at will.  I couldn't believe that we were able to consistently get to the goal.

I know many folks believe that our offense too often resembles an AAU game with one-on-one action.  And I agree it definitely is that at times.  Thought we were more under control tonight.  I also think that with our current roster this is the only way we can play - spread teams out, drive off screen and rolls, kick, pull up or move the ball.  Without a big on the roster who can score in the post, we are hamstrung in what we can do.

Totally agreed with this at the time.  Have to be in the game to have a chance at winning at the end.  Thought Coach did a really good job and, if I recall, we scored on set plays a few times after the timeout.

Also thought it was good strategy to pressure the ball full court most of the game.  Yes, it led to a few wide open 3's when the game got nuts at the end.  But keeping the ball out of Cartwright's hands disrupted their offense and made it more difficult for them to run that screen/cutting game they love so much.
