Maybe we should make laws that treat all terrorists the way we treat the dark skinned ones? I'm fine with not allowing anyone from ISIS into our country, ever. I saw the 60 minutes on them that really lets you into their lives and shows you how they do things, and I still don't like them. They can't live here. We agree, yes? And with that, our new agreement to not let terrorists live in our country, its high time we gather up our white terrorists as well, and remove them. We have the KKK, the Arian nation, this Richard Spencer nut, and they're rights are protected only because they're white.

The KKK has rights because they're US citizens entitled to the full protections of the US Constitution. The constitution doesn't apply to Syrians.

Quote
And to be clear, I'm not so much opposed to tightening our borders, as long as we are equally careful and objective in judging people from anywhere in the world should they want to live here. Stopping immigration from just 7 countries is showing your hand.

There are one and half billion muslims in the world. Nine of the ten countries with the largest Muslim population comprising one billion Muslims - Indonesia, India, Pockiston, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, and Morocco - are not on the list. The only country in the top ten that is on the list is Iran, you know, the death to Satan country where they were handing out candy and dancing in the streets on 9-11.  If Trump was trying to stop Muslims qua Muslims from entering the country he certainly chose an odd way to go about it.

The constitution. Hysterical.

Yes, nice to have a President that believes in it after the last 8 years, right

Yeah I love the section in the Constitution about censoring the media and other agencies.

Name a couple of instances of censorship that have taken place in the last ten days. I'll wait.

No reason to believe that Trump will not censor journalists because he said he would.

I don't think you know what the word censor means

Yes, I wish I had the vocabulary of a Republican. Like the literary wordsmiths in our new special needs cabinet.

Well, none of them said they are going censor any journalists, but those lunatics at Cal burn their own campus to the ground and assault people because somebody they disagree with was going to give a speech and hurt them with words. Talk about Trump being soft...

Bannon said it. Happy with that Nazi, or do you realize what he is, and what he wants to do?

This Republican Party has no place at Universities. I don't agree with any violent protest, but if they show up where they are not welcome, you can't be surprised by the reaction, which still didn't kill anyone. But hey, it's been two weeks. Give the resistance some time to get organized before they make their move to take our country back from this disease of a cabinet.

"This Republican Party has no place at Universities". So instead of discussing ideas like adults, just keep all Republicans off of college campuses. So what you're saying is to censor them and take away their free speech after saying that's what Trump wants to do to the left. You said that since Republicans were assaulted but not killed it's ok and to be expected. But Trump is the fascist? And then it sounds like you are advocating for a violent overthrow of the current government. Interesting.

The people already took back the government on November 8th. If the election was held again today, Trump would win again.

Right, adult like Donald Trump. Give me a break. He'll get what he deserves.

Glad you didn't deny that you are the real fascist in this situation. That's a start at least

Lol, you are a party favor.

You're looking at the alternative facts. The two brothers in Boston were American citizens.

No. Both came to the US under a grant of political asylum. One was naturalized, the other wasn't.

They came here legally.

I didn't say they didn't. But if you're going to call people liars and bigots you should have your facts straight. Which is why I helpfully provided the correct information.

Fair enough.

So Trump will ban Muslims from 7 countries to provide the safety that we desperately need despite the fact that Obama has clearly already provided that very safety. Do you really think that this will make us safer than we are now? There are over a million Muslims in our country now. How many of them because of this will turn a lifetime of frustration into blowing up a building or opening fire in a shopping mall?

So we are supposed to tiptoe around on eggshells and hope they don't blowup the country that accepted them?

Nope. Doesn't matter if you tip toe. We are going to get hit. They are already here and Trump's behavior will radicalize them in larger numbers than we've seen. This is not a President. He is putting our lives at risk for no reason other than the attention it gets him. I don't think anyone would say that we should always be working to improve our vetting system, and even if we do, don't you think a few nuts will always come out of the woodwork, just by the law of averages?
Look at what a freaking cartoon did with Charlie Hebdo. I'm not worried about people being radicalized. If people got radicalized by this then they were already on their way to being radicalized before this.

We invaded Iraq we have done thousands of drone strikes and god knows what else. I'm not going to worry about putting a temporary hold on 7 countries who 99.9 % of the population couldn't pick out on a map and worrying about that radicalizing people

I will say though it should have been handled better in the beginning and I'm not against immigration

99% of the population? Trump and his cabinet couldn't do it. What, since he has been sworn in has Trump handled well? Is there a single thing he's done for anyone but himself and his massive ego? Syrian refugees aren't climbing over a fence to get here. It takes two years of vetting.

We have plenty of our own problems right here in America, but since we invaded Iraq and turned that entire region into a war zone some people think we kinda sorta have a responsibility to let people live here. I wonder if the Iraqi interpreter who risked his life to help us in our war of an imaginary threat thinks that we're fighting terror or creating it? How many Iraqis did we kill while in search for WMDs?

I think it's fair for any new president to say they want to reevaluate a process especially when it's of this importance. My finance's brother just moved here from Peru with a green card last february and that was an 8 year process but if the same thing happened to him and he got delayed for 4 months than so be it. As it was he got delayed several times for various idiotic reasons. The process isn't streamlined and maybe it's different in every country to come to the US but all I know is the process is so chaotic in Peru it's mind-blowing and they had to spend major $$ on immigration attorney here and down there

The "improvements" that Trump is making have nothing to do with efficiency. The machine was working. There was no Isis problem here that Trump has rescued us from. Has it occurred to you maybe he's going to take something that has been working, something really important and break it? I have no idea how anyone could not think that is exactly how Trump will run this country, until he's impeached, and jailed.

That makes sense. What doesn't make sense is the way Trump has gone about it. You are describing a different man, and a system that belongs to a different mind. Trump tore Obama's immigration policy apart. Of course, we know that's largely because he was going to do that regardless. Do you really think Trump has any clue what Obama's actual immigration policy was?

. Give the resistance some time to get organized before they make their move to take our country back from this disease of a cabinet.

Yes, quite, the resistance. Will you be personally manning the barricades on the mean streets of Scarsdale? Starting tire fires at the Golden Horseshoe Shopping Center and so on? #OccupyLord&Taylor

I'm concerned about this "take back our country" rhetoric of yours though. Sounds a little suspicious to me. Let me check google.

Oh dear. Bad news I'm afraid, turns out you're a racist:

"You know, people talking about taking their country back. … There's a certain racial component to this ... there's a racial animus."." - Eric Holder

Not only that, but you know who else used the word "diseased" to describe his political opponents? Hitler.

"The battle in which we are engaged today is of the same sort as the battle waged, during the last century, by Pasteur and Koch. How many diseases have their origin in the Jewish virus! ... We shall regain our health only be eliminating the Jew.” - Adolf Hitler

Why your reliance on such inflammatory and obviously dog whistle language? If there's another explanation other than you're an antisemitic racist fascist Nazi xenophobic bigot I can't think of one.

Just to be clear, I'm counting on Trump being killed by his own secret service in the near future. I'm sure that's crossed your mind more than once. That's if he's not impeached first. Let's see if there's a Republican left who hasn't taken Trump's hand and sworn eternal loyalty.

Whatever you say Oliver Stone. You know, just because you and Sarah Silverman and George Takei and the rest of your snowflake peers are terrified of Trump, that doesn't mean everybody is. All that means is that you need to get out of the house more. Half the country voted for Trump and no doubt three quarters of the secret service, because the latter all hated Hillary, who's legendary for her contempt for and mistreatment of her subordinates.

Not everyone treats people as well as Trump. I see you've embraced this alternative fact shit. Half the country didn't vote for Trump. Less than half the country did. You see, we have this system that gives a say to useless states in the Midwest and the south. They contribute zero to our country, yet they are allowed to destroy it.

Let's see how the salt of the earth feels when they realize that their factories are never coming back. Maybe to make up for it, Trump will send their children to the Middle East for round one of WW3. If you're not scared that war is possible, you have not been paying attention. This may be a joke to Trump, but there are plenty of world leaders who can't wait to get a piece of him. And if they did, good. I'm happy to let them do our dirty work for us.

I hope you like Cuba because there is some nice room waiting for you at Gitmo :)

In all seriousness though I think republicans are pretty happy so far. I'm republican but really I guess more of an Independent ( more conservative on financial issues and I'm not talking about whatever the club for growth spews and I'm more a little bit left of center on social issues like being pro choice ) so Tump hasn't done anything yet to piss me off. (he is replacing Scalia so it doesn't really matter to me who he picks for that spot )

Now he could have handled things better on his delivery of some things like the immigration thing for sure and there isn't a doubt in my mind he is going to end up pissing me off in the future over some things especially if he ends up running deficits like GWB and Obama but honestly right now for people like me who are close to the center overall politically I like him shaking up things so far

So, you're a fan of draining the swamp? Let me know when that happens. Trump has been angry about immigration for years starting with crazy shit about Obama not being born in this country. I'm of the logic that says if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I want the swamp drained then salt put down to ruin it then burned then put a parking lot over it then put some potted plants on top of it..

It's beyond broke. I think you are my age or maybe a little bit over that ( I'll be 47 next week ) and if anyone is 50 or younger the ramifications of what politicians have done to us over the years ( republicans and democrats ) our generation and younger are beyond screwed down the road between the debt and entitlements. ( and I'm not one of the the people who  doesn't want SS or Medicare-Medicaid and the last thing in the world that I want to see if Privatizing SS and see people putting that money in the market ). but they need to be fixed also and I've been saying that for the last 16 years

But it's just a fact. If you look at the numbers of what's looming down the road the younger generations are beyond screwed paying for the fukups of politicians cumulatively over the years

Most of them should be put in jail for what they are leaving us with financially
