See and we were agreeing on Mullin stuff and anti -Tony stuff but then you went off the rails.
Kid was lacking ability and size but had some skills. Unfortunately he did not play hard and staff found better options and he pouted.
This is not the movie One on One. There was no evil plan. Kid was not that good, did not play hard and pouted. Time to go.
It doesn't have to be a conspiracy. It could be as simple as Dixon approaching Mullin to talk about his role being less than expected and Mullin giving him a straight answer.
Mikey: "Coach, I love playing for you and being at St. John's but I came here to have a bigger role. I know the NBA is not realistic for me, but I can make some $ playing professionally overseas if I play more in college."
Coach: "Mikey, you are a great part of the team. Regardless of what WASJU posts about you, you give great effort, but minutes off the bench will go to the guys that play the best defense. Right now that is Trimble and Williams. Next year will be tough too with Mack and Wright. I'd love to have you here in a reserve role, but I would understand if you wanted to go somewhere to pay more minutes. I'll support any decision you make."
