Game 4: Vermont- Saturday 11/16 4P (Queens)

The same UMBC team that knocked out #1 seed UVA the year before. Connecting the dots isn't working in your favor. This should be a tough game and I don't think anyone ( well almost) is expecting a decisive SJU victory.

This is the same UMBC team that our 2015-2016 team that finished 8-24, 1-17 and lost by 32 (not a misprint) to D-2 St. Thomas Aquinas beat by 22. That’s how awful that program is. How’s that for connecting dots, Mrs. Anderson?

Do you find it odd that the game you point to for supporting your argument that the America East isn’t awful was to the AE tournament champ that was so bad that they were given one of the four worst seeds in the entire field to and that was so bad that Virginia losing to them is considered both objectively and nearly unanimously subjectively as the worst loss in basketball history?!

The America East is a weak conference and losing to any team it fields at home will always be a huge disappointment. How is that even debatable?

It's debatable because it's about their current team, that's my point. Their current squad is experienced, deep and viewed as a tourney team by many. They've also played in big games against high majors so playing us won't phase them. Forget the conference and look at the opponent. They look a little rusty to start the year which could work in our benefit, but make no mistake they are legit and hopefully we play a good enough game to pull out a win.

Big game for the johnnies, this Vermont team is better than the Evansville team that beat #1 Kentucky at home and is better than GeorgiaSt that only lost to Duke by 10. They are better than Towson that only lost to Florida by 6, and they are better than Winthrop who beat St. Mary’s, so no you can’t ever say a team that has top 25 votes and is projected in the field is a easy 10-15 point win unless you are wanting St. John’s to lose for some reason. I follow Mike Anderson because I like his style and he has been good to me at Arkansas, and yes now I am a Bystanding St. John’s fan and studied y’alls program and studied yalls players and who you all have signed and have committed and I can tell it’s on the uptick. Marallic and Foad are Mullin lovers I can tell and Dave is about as neutral as it gets and I respect him for that, he sees everything without bias. Johnny23 seems like he’s been here awhile and is a die hard St. John’s fan like I am a diehard Arkansas, TonyD23 seems like a very informative poster which I respect. Goreman has his bias I’ve seen but not too bad. The rest of the posters I haven’t payed much attention to but I will and I will probably pick out the bias’ whether it’s for mike or against. But go Johnnies!

TonyD has an IQ in 80-90 range so your support of him tells us all we need to know. I’m glad you can still support your dad as coach after he fired you from his staff for the DUI. You are a good son...a horrible poster but a good son.
