Thought Figgy and Heron would be go-to guys but they don’t seem to be capable of that role. Debatable if they even fit the way the rest of team plays, with the hustle and constant movement.

Agreed. It remains to be seen with both of them.

As I type this the game is 6 points on the road.

Down 6 with 7 seconds left is not a positive

Horrendous shot out of that long delay

All season. That will likely be he longest stoppage of play all year and we got a very low % shot out of it.

KenPom's projection for this game was Xavier winning 75-67

Finding Earlington or Roberts on a roll to the rim seems the best, maybe only, play we have.

Big East will test your spirit. Will be interesting to see how the team responds in DC.

One of turning points of game was when it was 59-55 think about 7 minutes left we are on a mini 6-0 run X throws up a 3 hits back iron and Marshall beats Rutherford for the long rebound and then throws to Jones for a dunk to get crowd back in it and start a 9-0 to go up 13....get that long rebound and chance to make it 2 point game.

It's hard to win when you can't hit your open threes or finish at the rim..... they got open a lot which is encouraging and they of course forced TOs.  Needed to split these two on road and get back to 2-2 at home next weekend.  That has not changed.

Have to believe that our pressure defense will keep us in games.  We cant continue to shoot this poorly.  Need to find some rhythm on offense.  This team needs shooters badly.  Caraher and Heron need to step up to relieve the pressure.

It’s more than that. The takes are mostly reckless and out of control and three’s are one on one off the dribble. I can remember one nice inside-out three from Earlington to Rutherford. Unless you ar a special player or feeling it, those fall around 15% of the time. An open inside-out attempt can be 50-60%.

It wasn’t even that close. We got the little brother treatment.

Low rated players are low rated for a reason

Got a lot of good looks both in the half court and on fast breaks that they just couldn’t convert. Also heron and Figueroa going 1-9 from 3 doesn’t help (obviously the rest of the team didn’t hit any 3s either, but figgy and heron are the only legit 3point threats).
