nah it was popping today.before i get crucified let me say i think we finish in the top 8. me personally. i think with this squad it is a real objective.everyone can say 11 or 13 or 16 but me i think top8. and im willing to take my lumps if they finish below that.

Clearly  we are in a win-win situation!  If we go to the NCAAs, that great and maybe Norm is getting better. ;).   If we don't make it,  he's gone.  And the program gets a new lease on life.

From what Ive heard recently, Brownlee is a lil undersized, very athletic and will get time at the 2. Looks like Norm will be have a bunch of 2's on the court at the same time

No, it isn't, not in a down year.  I think this year you have to be top 7 to make it, 8 is gonna take some quality OOC wins.

I recall one preseason Louie said something like "This year you might not like the results, but you'll love my kids. Next year you'll love the results." Might have been a David Russell team, but since I can't even remember Pearl Washington, who knows. Anyway, that quote might be relevant to this team. Interesting kids who play hard and are easy to root for, but maybe a year away from real success.

With 9 Juniors and a 5th year Senior- no "wait till next year". I think more than
half of our Juniors are 3.5 years out of HS anyway, with the Prep route so common.
(Rob, JB,  PH,Hardy, Dele...?)

I'm excited for this year- best depth & experience of Norms tenure !

Without a quality starting point guard or center we are not finishing in the top half of the league.

The team definitely has some talent but I have zero confidence in the coach to develop and build on it over the course of the season.

Last year, Roberts said "no more training wheels"

9 juniors should be enough to field a team that at the very least can run plays.

Wow- rough assessment.
To finish @ 500 in conference we don't need a better than (BE) average at every position.

I am comfortable with the 5 manned by Evans/Dele/JB.
Yes PG appears our weakest link, but we dont know what Stith brings, & not needing 36 minutes  (&ANY 3 pt shots)from Malik1 should increase his effectiveness.
