He looked devastated watching the Marquette game.  Fortunately, they avoided mentioning the score.

I hope he makes it---just to shut all the critics up.

Thanks Dave for posting that video. I thought it was a pretty nice piece, showed how far he had to come back to even practice. I enjoyed seeing the “human” side of him and being reminded, he’s just a 21 year old kid.

I hope and pray that he stays healthy, that he contributes this season, and that he eventually gets to live his dream of playing in the NBA.

Small forwards are a dime a dozen. There are a lot of them better than Mase currently not employed by the NBA. He has no shot at all.

he may have more raw talent than his dad at the same stage...but his dad was HUNGRY.

mase junior has never been hungry.  he'll make some nice money playing pro ball...but i can't see any future in the nba for him.

AMJr will make a living for a while playing basketball overseas but he has zero shot the league.

Bottom line is he is just not good enough. That isn't being mean or hurtful, just truthful.

You might be right, but he deserves a chance to prove his critics wrong without his own fans ripping him.

Towards the end of the 05-06 season he played well during some meaningful games. I'm not ready to give up on him.

His junior year, he had zero help. Geno wasn't playing very hard, and the freshman simply weren't ready for the BE. Heck, they weren't ready for the MAAC.

Anyone else surprised that our strength coach allowed him to bounce the weight off his chest while he was benching? That is really bad form. It hurt just watching it. Lifting should be about controlling the weight from start to finish, not using momentum to drive the weight up.

That's right. One fluid motion, or you'll pull a muscle.

That is true. I didn't catch that at first but now that you mention it, you're right.

he's working with 100 pounds.  that's pretty light by any standard.  i'd be more concerned about his struggling to reach 17 reps.

i'm about three times his age...i can do at least 50 reps...and i'm nowhere near the strongest person in my gym.

mase senior is right...his son needs to work on his strength if he has a prayer to play at the next level.

He's doing at least 135lbs and there is no way you can do 50.

NBA combine is 185lbs and usually the best for that is around 20 (Harangody was tops at 23 last season)
